holy crap so many functionalities and baseline abilities have been stripped out just to be added as talents.like.... what even is there for DH's baseline kit? 2 buttons?
Well 3 builds immediately jump out at me. There is a completely nuts AoE build with a bunch of glaive toss synergy that aside from having multiple AoE CD's also regularly applies a bleed basically everything around because of the immolation aura toss. Demon Slam with the short CD meta, which, if that stacks right, means you have a 1 min CD Meta so if Eyebeam stays at 45 that's near double the casts of that. And good old momentum which annoyingly includes Vengeful retreat in this version.Also you can get way more of the lower stuff then I expected so pretty easy to have a sorta hybrid of both.God I love the potential stupid brokenness of 1 min Meta if that's truly a thing though. It could last all of 8 seconds and that still is completely bonkers.
After 10,000 years... I am not prepared... I'm no theorycrafter, but this looks amazing and has me excited for the future of the class! :D
The Havoc portion of the talent tree is straight up trash at this point...locking you out of major portions of the tree unless you dump 2 points into abilities you dont/may not want. Many abilities that are mix-matched into areas that doesn't exactly "flow". It seems like you either sacrifice abilities or passive/dmg amplifiers.
Must be nice to get talents…oh.
I only see 1 viable build which is demonic with a bunch of eye beam talents and modifiers. Many nodes are in weird positions and some i dont even know why exist (could be baseline) or why are they 2 points? Most of the tree doesnt seem synergetic at all
DH is the only class I play but is every other class spending all their points just to get back to where they are in Shadowlands?
First impressions:1) DH will feel like complete garbage while leveling because nothing is left in the baseline.2) this tree is exactly what I feared: a lot of gutting what we have today to just let us build it back up with talents. Prime example: eye beam needs a talent to always crit! Garbage.3) we’re so late to the party, I hope we don’t get screwed and can get as many iterations as classes like DK…because there is a real lack of flow or synergy in where things are grouped. And this needs to be iterated upon. 4) There are a lot of modifier talents for the glaives but they are mostly meh (seriously, you want me to put a point into it to hit a 2nd target? I’d rather not). Go crazy. be creative, if you want glaives to be meaningful, then give us a glaives build! Seriously. Having a better mid-range option would make using fel rush feel better when it takes us out of melee range. Also, It could open up a dive/retreat play style that could be complimentary or synergistic with momentum. We already have glaive tempest, why not more? Plus, it incorporates the DHs signature weapon.

What immediately jumps out to me is the fact that I will NEVER go out of my way to take a utility option over a throughput option the way the havoc tree is structured right now.The general feel of the tree is quite nice, but I think there may need to be some node consolidations and and reshufflings to really make it pop.Also plz no glide on momentum, make it double jump pretty pretty plz
The Havoc talent tree fels like @#$%, really.Not only is it incredibly limiting due to how spread out all the branches are from each other and how bad are them interconected!Many of the talents they offer you aren't talents, they've just fragmented skill effects that are currently baseline and force you to spend talent points to make them whole again Hot FeetImproved Feel RushBurning HatredFurious GazeLooks Can KillImproved MetamorphosisThis effects shoulden't be talents, their are baseline habilites dammitAnd the worst thing is that in many cases this dlc effects talents ot even those lead you to another useful talent, making you feel like you're wasting points on purposeI'm glad critical hit is finally as relevant to the spec as it was in the beggining, that a lot of RNG has been removed from many talents, that the blade dance would be relevant again investing early and easy to waste talents and the rework of Momentum is feels great and finally worth of useBut please...Change the look of the talent tree and make baseline the already baseline effects, especially the ones affecting Eye Beam and Feel Rush, they feel too bad
