Isn't it a 9 boss raid?
It's a nine boss raid, Arch; are ya staying up too late? Go get some sleep, man. O, and it's also wrong in a different way, as the backend text shows 2nd slot with 4 boss kills, so either the text on the back end, or the image feels off.
It is in fact a 9 boss raid...
You also incorrectly put 2 5 7 instead of 2 4 7 at the start of the article.
9 boss raid by the way. Not a 7. It has just as many as Ab, they just made the first tiers of rewards require 1 less boss
https://www.wowhead.com/news/amirdrassil-the-dreams-hope-patch-10-2-raid-bosses-revealed-334902Posted literally one day ago by the same author describing all NINE raid bosses.
Back in 2005, I was raiding twice a day, once with NA guild and once with Aussie guild, playing about 8 hours a day. Now, I'd be lucky to play 8 hours a week.So changes like this is always welcome.
new raid is 9 bosses btw
This article is confusing. There are 9 bosses in the new raid. Plus the datamined thresholds literally posted in this article at the bottom say it's 2/4/7 but the written article says it's 2/5/7. Wowhead need to update this and ensure basic QA checking is done before posting.
So, this article is… wrong?
Arch, go to sleep, brah. '3+7=10 in a 9 boss raid'? Progress counts concurrently for all steps, like it has ever since Vault came out in this style in Shadowlands. Rewrite this when you wake up, or have an EU writer proof it. You're usually better than this.
"previously 3/5/7 caused issues because 3 + 7 = 10 and not 9"I don't understand this calculation. The "kill number of bosses" is cumulative, Why add 3 and 7? The previous bosses also count for later boxes, so it was maximum 7 bosses needed for 3 choices. Where does the 10 come in?
3 + 7 = 10. Correct. HOWEVER, that equation has nothing to do with the vault. You need a total of 2/9 bosses of the raid for slot one, 4/9 of the raid bosses for slot two, and 7/9 raid bosses for slot three. The first slot and second slot bosses count cumulatively to the slots after them. You edited the original post you made and somehow made it more confusing and wrong
Here. I will rewrite it for you:This change is undoubtably positive for everyone looking to raid. The reduction for the first slots by one each (3 -> 2 and 5 -> 4) means that everyone will need less of a time investment to get most of their raid vault filled. Especially those that gear alts.
Slowly but surely almighty Raiders will fulfil their self entitled destiny and start getting gear in mailboxes as soon as they login! We are getting there. 🚶♀️🚶♂️
"previously 3/5/7 caused issues because 3 + 7 = 10 and not 9"Does the writer of the article even do raids? Or use the great vault?Nor has this ever been an issue. Nor do you need to kill 10 bosses. You need 7 in total to have all the raid slots unlocked, not 3 + 7. By that logic it would actually need to be 3 + 5 + 7 = 15 bosses, which is kinda crazy for a 9 boss raid innit?
"previously 3/5/7 caused issues because 3 + 7 = 10 and not 9"What issue did it caused previously? Why add 3 with 7 which is totally irrelevant? It has nothing to do with total number of bosses and the loot choices. As someone has pointed out, the number is cumulative as long as you kill 2/4/7 (or 3/5/7 in 10.1) different bosses in the 10.2 raid, you get the full 1/2/3 loot choices from Raid category, adding the numbers does not make any senses.
(7 + 3) / 5 = 2(7 + 5) / 3 = 4
