Does blessing of freedom still remove it though?
A change I'm not surprised to see.
Good change imoWhat would be the negative effect of this if you can dispell it?if you dont want it don't use corrupted itemsif you want deal with itDps is already high enought no need for free dps increase
Do slow removals still work?
I found this an interesting and challenging interaction in the healer game play. I was able to dispel this on people who where kiting or having to move or i could choose to ignore it.I think it's a bad change and I believe the other effects who simply deal damage to the players are just putting extra stress in the healing game play without really being interactive. Most of these corruption effects just get ignored by the players and the healer has to deal with it. Removing the ability from us to aid our party members in avoiding damage just makes this effect worse. This whole corruption concept seems badly designed and flawed. I wish it wouldn't exist.
As long as i can gnome racial, disengage or other abilities that's okay. Feels like a waste of a magic dispel used on that as well, players can just move or deal with it.
I agree 100% with this change, but I feel more is needed. While I like the concept of choice and variety in corruption, I feel the negative affects of stacking corrupted gear has fallen very heavily on the healers. Players equip whatever bis corruption gear they please and the job of dispelling them and healing the damage from tentacles and things from beyond falls on healers who are already trying their best to heal unavoidable damage from mechanics. I can see how these items might be fun for a dps but from a healer pov it just feels like a nightmare.
I am OK with this change as the slow was just inconvenient in my experience. I am never equipping over 39 corruption in challenging content, so not needing to run from Things. It's kind of fun to do that while questing. But I am a bit more concerned by the lack of Hotfix blueposts on this (so far), but more-so the previous reputation essence change. It's nice to have a heads-up from Wowhead, but I have had to individually tell many guildies about it.
I hope corruption is gone in shadowlands this system sucks and i think most people agree.
