The assertion: the player is more important than the gear set.So if you're fine with this, you'll install the addon and go on your merry way.If you're not fine with this, you can refuse to install the addon. When a raid leader says "you have to have it", you can say "no" and rest assured that, if the assertion is true, you probably didn't want dump the time into that raid anyway.Seems like this is a non-problem wrapped in a need for player-rage.
Hey look the community ruining the game just like they did with WB meta, yet I don't see all of the outrage streamers and youtubers making a big deal about it. Strange. It's almost like people never really cared about the quality of the in-game experience and just wanted to engage in hateful, targeted rhetoric towards blizzard.
Beside this annoying "Check gear before I invite your for some random HCs" this Weakaura can come in handy. Manytimes me and my Guildmembers talk about gear and gem/entchant options or try to give some answers to "Is X or Y better for me?". With this aura we can just link them our gear.
I think it's to prevent situations where both parties wasted a bunch of time if someone shows up severely under geared to a party/raid. So instead of someone heading to the instance or to whoever is inspecting them, they can just link the gear.Honestly though only helpful in some situations to save a bit of time on both the party waiting and the person flying all the way over just to not be let in.As much as I think try hard's could use this to stop people from joining up on parties and raids, the same thing will happen anyway when the person shows up and gets inspected. At least this MAY allow for less time to be wasted.Still a mostly unnecessary WA for most situations...
