Why not make the "legendary" a crafting reagent, which replaces enchanted crests?Then you can craft a weapon which fits for every class. The legendary reagent would simply adjust the item level and extra stats to make the crafted weapon a legendary one.

DK is the most broken DPS spec rn and this will just take it to another level prob. Also only blizzard can make a whole patch about the emerald dream and they give a legendary to a meathead melee instead of DRUIDS lol
cant wait for the "really feel like your accomplishing something when you acquire the weapon" to actually just be a raid reagent you have to farm for a few weeks bc this game has lost most of its creativity in quest lines. Im most excited for the game blasting in all chat anywhere in the game that someone has aquired this lego, just like the Drathyr one, so I always know when someone gets their lego weapon.
Really wish they'd just make legendaries cosmetics.Green Fire questline for warlocks is infinitely better than any legendary quest chain has been - doing stuff like that feels like a more rewarding avenue for cool weapons than arbitrary statsticks that just warp raid comps.
Could have been a really cool polearm for feral, windwalker, brewmaster, or survival. Or even make it str/ agility converting. Oh well.
Funny how the article stresses that this will be the first 2 handed strength weapon since 2014....well what about a 2 handed Agility weapon since there has NEVER been one of those. Blizzard really dropped the ball with this one and showed just how little they think about Agility tanks like Brewmaster Monks and Guardian Druids. Blizzard needs to rectify this unless they want to start losing more players.

I love this artwork and i cant wait to get my hands on it, however i am not a fan of the way the character holds the axe during combat. For real axes you place your hands near the blade part while not using it, which makes sense but while attacking/using, your hands moves toward the pummel. Been the same problem with all axes models since vanilla and that is why most people don't use them since the animation feels weird, almost as if you're fist fighting instead
