There is hope
Indeed, there is hope. Maybe not next expansion, but a reasonable chance by the one after. These things take time, just like the level squish took time to resolve.
I certainly hope not. I don't want to be grouped with Alliance.
The horde racial's have better then alliance for years now making people swap to horde for easier pvp and raiding. other people followed those people so they could have a better chance at raiding and pvp. Repeat this until you have a 4-1 horde vs alliance imbalance. Blizzard thinks that giving a 30% bonus makes up for being curb stomped by roving bands of horde griefers if you turn warmode on. They know there is an issue but most of the people they sell their esport and world first raiding are horde they they just make more money screwing over the alliance.
What is doesn't want to say, is that Blizzard themselves sets up there to be confrontations and discord between the factions for their company's advantage. Being able to do things cross-faction will get people to stop buying faction transfers, cutting into their bottom line. It's all just money garbage..
No just no. Every step away from faction war has made WoW less appealing. Everytime I played other MMORPG I could not stop thinking how cool WoW was with it's two factions what both stood on their own.
I can see a world where they make this change to be able to play cross-faction. Probably as an opt-in thing, similar to going in and out of War Mode.I think they need to do this in a way that fits into the story at the same time, though.
You can faction transfer or spend months grinding for the correct faction is what I am hearing. The faction divide has been well, gone mostly. It is just a lore point now, something Blizzard will keep because it is different than any other similar game.
The division is so integral that we throw it out the window every other expansion unless you're in a battleground.Sure, you've got some token faction conflict here and there (i.e. Honor Hold vs. Thrallmar) but then you hop into the bed of whatever neutral faction best represents the interests of both sides at the time.
If Alliance really wants to talk about Horde having the best racials, do they not want to talk about Mechagnomes having one of the best racials for dps? If anyone thought that dwarfs having a racial that took bleeds off for 1 tier would help solve the imbalance... You are delusional. They would just go right back after the tier. There's breakdowns in most class discords of how much each race adds to dps. If .1% is enough to make everyone cry, go find another game. They wont make everything perfectly balanced ever.
Starting to hate people that keep crying over racials when literally both factions end up being able to clear any Mythic raids and reach ridiculously high rating in PvP. Racials is the small DPS gain that may be needed for someone pushing for a world first since they're geared with the very maximum they can obtain within a week, which isn't needed for a guild that's gonna kill a few bosses every week and gets everyone more than enough gear to clear content where the only thing needed at this point is skills. The real reason we still get a faction imbalance is because the ''1%'' hardcore players influencing the rest of the playerbase into thinking some racial is better for your spec, even though you can't kill more than half the bosses in a raid even after months of farming gear.
I wonder how long it'll take before the average poster realizes that the Horde Racial advantage was evened out with allied race racial abilities. Who am I kidding, gotta keep the circle jerk going, it's only been a couple of years...As for the people who wouldn't invite people from other factions, a lot of people play both anyway, so you've been grouping with them all along. Also, grow up, you're actively asking for people to be unable to do something out of a sense of selfishness. If you're really so petty that you don't want people from other factions in your group, just don't invite them. IDK why this community is so hellbent on taking things away from others, even in the event where it'd barely impact them, if at all.
When it comes to Raiding everybody expects that if they swap to Horde for whatever racial they find useful, once there, they will be able to clear mythic raids just because of that one racial. In PvP they will obviously have 100% win rate while Horde because of racial obviously. The only real advantage you get playing as Horde right now is a larger playerbase. Other than that the average WoW player does not benefit from racials so much that it will make the difference between success and failure.
