"World PvP Events" No thanks, SoD showed us that its goddamn awful. The game starts to lag at 40+ players in one area and the ashenvale event was legit unplayable at some point and thats why it turned into a PvE event where both factions just raced to kill the enemy bosses without any resistance. A 40v40 AV is legit the upper limit of what this game can handle. The 100v100 wintergrasp games were also catastrophic on wotlk classic.
None of it will matter if they don't figure a way to stop gold sellers and bots. You basically had to buy gold towards the end of sod if you wanted to raid, and lets not even talk about how expensive Ashebringer was. Bots ran 24/7 and in Azshara you could watch the bots on both factions pathing the same route over and over and over for hours, days, weeks, and months and they would never get banned. I used to farm Arcane crystals so I was out in that zone daily almost 8 month I would see the same bot didn't matter what time of day or night and it never got banned smfh blizzard could fix this with one person but they don't care.
I'm sorry but class design is awful in TBC the only realistic path is a wrath like rotationALL casters spam 1 button still in raids for TBC Melee classes were alienated in dungeons more so specific ones that required a lot of AoE still made that grind a SUPER pain in the ass.Rogue rotation is quite literally only keeping up slice and expose armor. Using finishers such as eviserate is advised not to unless you have 2 rogues in the group and that's an extremely rare thing considering people only take 1.Boomkin is essentially useless and is replaced by a dream state druidAnd again all classes spam 1 button...Boomkin = starfallWarlock = shadow boltMage = arcane blastShadow priest = mind flatHunter (if not weaving) = spam steady shotShaman = spam lightning boltNone of these classes are remotely enjoyable to playClass design did not get better in TBC its just as bad as vanilla if not worse with them adding class specific buffs that make it a pain to make raid groups around.
Zones and content in the world is the most important from them all. That is like 50% of the game right there...
New zones, dungeons, raids, and class quests. Playing SoD (and Classic) made me realize how much class identity has been lost on retail, because the quests really made you feel like the class you picked, not just the same as everyone else but with different colored spell effects.
World PvP events? No... just no. Did the person writing this even play SoD? On popular servers these events were a lag fest from start to finish. Awful experience. That's why the PvP was ignored and everyone just focussed on doing the PvE aspect as fast as possible for the rewards.
