Why not list *what* the increased item level is?

Comment by TheDagor

Fated World Bosses will drop ilvl285 loot to compensate for the higher difficulty of being fated (still not hard at all).

Comment by Preyfar

can you make these a setpiece

Comment by Wepstar

Lol ilvl285? That's the same level as honor gear that is upgraded to 7/7 when fighting PVP.
7/7 honor gear will be 268 lvl and 285 when fighting PVP.

I guess that is wrong. PVP honor gear in PVP must be even fighter level.

Comment by SapoQLxd

it's been all expansion like this, ilvl is equal to the normal difficulty last bosses

The boots I got last night were 285.

Welp. Reset 83 without getting WB loot for my main....

Yes, just tested if after i got plate gloves

Comment by Daeveren

So they wrote a news article about the world boss dropping higher ilvl items, without even mentioning what the ilvl is. And linking to 9.0 ilvl 207 items. This is pretty sad

The items from the World Bosses (both fated and non-fated) can be used in the Creation Catalyst, and it will turn items into Sepulcher tier.

Same here. Multiple characters and endless months without worldboss loot. :(
Cant even remember if I did get one single item out of a wb.

Comment by Sarthorius

Cloth and Plate wearers: Sir, drop me that item, tier slot item Sir.

Edit: I agree, if not linking the items 'with their current ilvl', then at least point out to the lazy ones that these WB will drop items at 285 ilvl (IF they drop). I mean, WB are mainly for alts anyway.

You wan't more loot dropped towards you (specially your main)? Do the new M+ dungeons. The Great Vault starts giving you 278 ilvl items from M+2 onwards. There are already video guides on youtube so people get 'refreshed' on the older dungeons.

wowheads articles are a quantity not quality enterprise. its how they get more clicks, SEO and ad revenue.

Edit: of course Nurgash Muckformed is still dropping the usual which is nothing.

Comment by hazmaxed

The source of the information was a blue post from Blizzard, so I don't blame Wowhead for not mentioning the correct item level. Not only is the item level not mentioned in the blue post, there is no way in game to determine the item level a fated world boss will drop...unless a piece of gear actually drops when you kill the world boss. The Adventure Guide still lists the old item level. I know the world bosses aren't fated all the time, but adding a statement in the adventure guide that indicates the fated item level shouldn't suck too much developer time from Dragon Flight.

Comment by hazmaxed

What about Antros then?
I was getting the usual which is no item.
But a couple of other players got 259 items.

Antros should drop fated item level gear when Sepulcher of the First Ones becomes the current fated raid, in two weeks.

Just to confirm yes you can make tier peice i got the shoulders on my warlock off nurgash and it was upgradable to a 285 teir peice

Comment by Aesiria

This is so pointless, because the old world bosses never drops any @#$%ing loot anyway. Antros drops loot pretty often, but the old ones don't.
And there are almost no people showing up for Nurgash, so making a group takes ages. I guess all people are busy doing fated raids?

Comment by r0bzilla

Are you listing groups in the group finder? Because even early in the morning today groups were filling up very quickly, full raids in under 2 minutes.

The fated world bosses seem to have a different NPC ID or Quest ID or something, because none of the addon trackers such as SavedInstances seem to track your kills for the new boss. The gear that drops from the fated boss turns into Normal transmog sets if you creation catalyst it.

Comment by Plaidiator

Can I try to get the loot multiple times in a week or only one chance per week?
