If only the would scrap all these systems and put housing in, plenty of new dungeons/raids and the return of Tier sets achievable from BOTH Mythic+ and Raiding
This is the kind of content people quickly won't give a $%^& about. The core of players doesn't want gimmicks or more things to farm. Please just focus on making amazing raids/dungeons and balance pvp.
I'm guessing this design concept was put together pre-BfA. Any chance of housing in Teldrassil pretty much went up in smoke.
Good luck finding real estate in Teldrassil
I won't be buying the next expansion if it doesn't have player housing, It might sound a tad over dramatic but only WoW insists on dwelling in the past, newer MMOs have housing even FFXIV which is 8 years old has housing, they originally intended to have housing back in vanilla, i think it's about time they got with the times and did it.
Blizzard don't do it not because they can't, but because they don't want to. We can only guess the reasons.
Let's be honest there - Garrisons should have been their first start to a housing system. But they went "we know better" and made it into something that gave a crapton of materials and gold instead. Still one of my biggest gripes with WoD, ngl. Housing would be another evergreen thing to keep players hooked, just like achievements, mount-, transmog- and pet collecting is doing right now.
Hey Blizz little idea, how about. You do THIS instead of that false virtue signaling of censorship and removal of stuff hardly anyone batted an eye at.Player Housing would be SOOOOOOO GOOOOD! :(You guys HAVE the money, the devs, the time..Maybe for 10.0 when Zolval REMAKES the reality!
Player housing is something that players have asked for years from WoW. Anymore player housing is standard in the MMO world, yet we still don't have it.
It's missing a key feature that everyone in WoW loves to pride themselves on: Trophies. For Instance: Ahead of the curve or Cutting edge should provide you a decoration option in your house you can hang anywhere. Like a prop sword of Remornia to hang over your doorway or a Phylactery of Kel'thuzad placed on your kitchen table as a cookie jar.Accomplishments new and old should reward a endless array of customization options for your home. And we should be given the freedom to place them in more places than just "Oh your garrison statues go here. Good luck putting them anywhere else."The possibilities would be endless. It could be a reoccurring feature that Isn't just a expansion feature. Regardless I think all of this is long overdue.
Omg . . . pls Bliz DO IT! We need it, it's an awesome feature! Add it and TONS of people will come back!
It would be so awesome =D! I'd spend sooo many hours on this, pls blizz add this feature to the game... Such great ideas!
if they add player housing, I'm hoping the interface is more The Sims, and less Garrisons.Gold sink mechanics could include size of lots, # of floors, location of lot.But really I'd like to see a new zone added that both alliance and horde just nope on. The faction leaders all agree that the people who've saved the world over and over again can have it. On said island zone would have a couple smaller islands with little zones (kind of like the Draenei starting area) that you can unlock by doing different things in game. Big main island would be guild related stuff, then one of the smaller zones could have smaller instances where members of the guild could buy a plot of space to build their house and once you save it everyone could view it. Using a Zidormi like NPC could allow you to cycle though different plots to see what your guild members have been up to with their plots. If you have multiple toons in the same guild you'd be limited to just 1 plot and all would be able to help advance your plot.
This reminds me of the time Bobby Kotick got 155mil bonus for releasing subpar games and the survivors of abuse and sexual harrassment that went on for years and drove one poor woman to suicide only got 18mil.
I really hope Blizzard doesn't waste development time on this.
I really want housing in WoW, but it needs to be WildStar level housing or just don't bother.
Blizzard hasn't figured out how to monetize housing yet. Once they do, you'll have it.
