you know, they could add separate afterlife zones for every race (in time). Every race has a start zone... and ultimately could have an end zone - like class order hallsAlthough not sure how the forsaken would fit into that?
So if Humans descend from Vykrul, who descend from Titan creations, where do Kyrian come from to appear Human in nature? Because they're straight up just ethereal Humans.
The Shadowlands supposedly existed before the Titans meddled with worlds. Who is to say that the Titans didn't use creatures from the Shadowlands as inspiration for their titanic creations?
I believe that the vrykuls from which humans descend, were created by the kyrian-inspired titans ... so, the kyrians do not resemble humans, but humans are the ones that resemble the kyrians
With Shadowlands, WoW lore has finally and truly jumped the shark for me. I’m just not feeling it at all.Every expansion since Wrath has required stretches and, shall we say, “creativity” in the lore. Cataclysm and the dragon flights. Pandaria and the sha. WoD and time travel. Legion and everything around romping through Argus and fighting a titan. BfA and Sylvanas’s nonsensical storyline. But through it all, I could sort of hang on to a thread of believability if I squinted just a bit.But not this time. This is too much for. Too far from the simple “Horde/Alliance/Scourge” Azeroth I first loved.
I love this concept so much, the Shadowlands are fascinating.
There is zero evidence to imply that Azeroth being “born” would crack the planet like an egg. The titans actual forms are the energy constellations we’ve seen. They create their stone bodies from arcane energy. Our planet Azeroth will be completely fine once the Titan Azeroth is born.
Clearly showcasing how Kyrian are the most brainwashing, conformist, removal of individuality covenant designed specifically for people who have those similar ideas and everyone else who does not, goes to the other areas of shadowlands.Wont touch Kyrian even if they are the most broken covenant ever, the kinds of people in it are ewww
If Bastion is Heaven, I`m a Goliath frog. Bastion is the place where you must kill yourself slowly, part by part, to become empty-minded slave of dogmas you will obey without questions for a nearest eternity. There is no argumentation, you will hear from NPCs only demagogy "we are always do it" and "believe in process"... This is a sort of Hell, but in white clothes.
So no new build this week? :( Where are all news and changes?
This was a great post with much real Blizzard info and lore. It's sad that it goes into wild speculation about what will happen if Azeroth awakens, by the end. Which will be read in the same authority now.
Honesty I didn't find the layout of this article easy to read, it was really hard to get where are the actual phrases from the interview and where is Wowhead's commentary. It would be really nice if next time you post them under different headings (first the interview, then the commentary in the same post, separated by headings).I've guessed from the very first build that Kyrian campaign will involve change in their habits, because Uther not approving of them is kinda significant. Hope they will stop erasing memory eventually or start giving a choice to newcomers.
Some of you are catching on already...So the best place you can go is this heavenly realm of Bastion, right? There your identity will be erased, losing what made you -you- for the rest of forever. All you would know is servitude and, of course, peace.Sounds great!Except for those who don't like that idea. >.>People who openly rebel might find themselves thrown in the Maw even. Or at least next door in Revendreth.Kind of makes me wish someone would rebel against this whole system. Flip it upside down to show that losing yourself in heaven is just as bad as eternity in hell. But you would need a lot of power to contend with the entirety of the Afterlife.Hrmmmmmmmmmmmm......."Hey guys, I need you to all die so we can power me and the Jailer up. Then I'll kill him, and use -his- power to take the Arbitor's seat. Then I can change the way souls are judged, especially the Forsaken! Wait... they won't go willingly? We need a massive surge of souls pronto! Time to burn some trees."
