I wish they'd do it for seasonal mounts. I've been running Brewfest and Horseman every year on multiple alts during the limited time window with no success. It would've been nice to get them back when the model textures actually looked impressive at the time, instead of being seen as old outdated relics from the past. Speaking of which, I think the Forsaken horse mounts need an update, just sayin'.
what happened to the blue post? It was deleted?
No...the news article's URL just got changed, so the Wowhead link broke. It's still there.https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/23874322/hotfixes-november-21-2022(That one will probably break eventually as well, but it works for now)
I got 3/5 world boss mounts this week alone. Don’t give up
Idk about how greatly increased they are, but I've farmed these all week on all of my toons with bonus rolls and haven't seen even 1 yet so not much has changed lol
Wow this is so terrible.. so disrespectful to all the players who have been farming the mount - and honestly the last pillar that made wow special - rare mounts - first they made gladiator avaible to all - made unique items avaible - now they are takeing the last pillar away - now when u walk around in cities and watch people there is absolutly 00000 that can make u excited or tempt you to go for a new achievement or set new goals - everything is bland and readily availble - blizzard greatly undervalue things being unique (also extremely unique like these mounts) its something every game should have. This will boat very bad for the game in the future... and the consequences of this will be bigger than most think.. (same with fel drake to everyone)
I cannot wait to see actual numbers. I have more than 100 kills combined on the world bosses so far and got "only" 1 mount. Strange to say but reading comments of people getting more mounts with fewer attempts make me feel unlucky. At least my army of alts have a chance at seeing the world again ;)
I got all the world boss mounts in a span of 5 days. I was actually heavily preparing my 2 accounts to farm them way before the increase. Had over 90 chars at lvl 40+ rerolls tokens farmed etc. So the moment I heard about the increase a rushed, and got all of them in 5 days. Really really grateful for this change. I wasn't looking forward to spending years camping these spawns. All the people hating on the change, cry me a river. It's a good change, no mount should have lower than 1% drop rate that is on a weekly lockout.
I love all the people saying that the drop rate increase would be okay for things like the Love Rocket and the Headless Horseman's mount, but not the world bosses...Like, you realize that running those event mounts just during their event winds up being just about the equivalent of farming for over a quarter of a year on the world bosses, right? Daily resets for every day of the event (length varies, but most are around 2 weeks or more) + army of alts + easy peasy queue that doesn't require sitting in one spot twiddling your thumbs for ~15mins for each mob and then spending MORE time getting to the next one = WAY easier and less mind-numbing to farm. That's completely discounting that the event bosses also provide other dropped items that generally can be useful for things other than just appearances, and/or XP, whereas the world bosses that are years and years and years old at this point don't. Why can't we have increased drop rates on *ALL* of the extremely rare mounts? It doesn't need to be one or the other, and sub-1% isn't "okay" on any of them.
I got this after around 30 attempts :)
I got all WB mounts before the change, from 240 kills (Nalak) up to 5400 kills (Galleon). I personally dislike this change, in my eyes it devalues the mounts.AT LEAST Blizzard should make those mounts a "feat of strength", so the real collectors could still compare / show when they got theirs...
