Personally I don't mind if some player power is bound to the Zone if it's engaging gameplay.
I am just glad that new zone isnt like the maw or korthia where you cant move anywhere without being dazed, attacked by a mob or something.
I think it's a great move, anything to make alts feel like less of a chore.

Would it really? If they can manage to avoid overtly disastrous bugs, how would live patching while watching world first teams go through them be any different than past raid launches? The only difference is that the story aspects get less spoiled ahead of time (not that they won't be mostly known from datamining) and they don't have early access to strat testing prior to the race
player power needs to be tied to zone content otherwise the participation will be low.why punish casuals, just because players want to be top 1% elite tier while only raid logging or playing 2-3 hours per week.MMO's have historically tied player strength due to time invested.
I would prefer getting some Player Power in the new Zone if it was Account wide. But if progress there isn't account wide or easily farmable without lockouts i'm fine with no player power being obtainable there
I don't think letting well organized and funded wow raiders do raid bosses hundreds of times, trying all possible variations and counters leads to an accurate test of who is "REALLY GREAT" in WOW. Let everyone see them the first time at the same time. If it's bugged in meaningful ways, then fix it on resets. It is discouraging to watch these raid groups whip through content in a week, even as you realize they've done the boss already a hundred times and have figured out every variation that is possible to counter the boss moves.
Not raid testing sounds like a great idea and all, but I have absolutely no faith that Blizzard has or is willing to spend the resources on a thorough internal testing to ensure they release a fight that isn't buggy, or incorrectly tuned. Even with testing, Nathria had major bugs, and SOD clearly had tuning issues. Without testing I dread to imagine how much worse those issues will be. I don't think the benefits outweigh the risks because Blizzard's record shows there will very likely be those issues present even in a tested raid, and likely even more in untested.
