Not a fan of deterministic/calendar gearing, but Dinar's have been a good addition to the game. Biggest issue is they're raid exclusive, Blizzard really need to remove this gap between raiders and M+ players, as it's quite obvious M+ is a very popular PvE endgame activity. While we can farm an item 'til our eyes bleed in M+, we can't get them at a worthwhile iLvl without it being RNG vault time.
The Catalyst system is fantastic for everyone. It should absolutely continue forward. The dinar system is great for heroic and mythic raiders only. It should only go forward if an m+ option is also available.
Convenience is the death of MMOs, I hope Blizzard are careful with systems like this beyond end of expansion drought filler.
Dinar system is great addition, i agree with others here - it being locked to raids feels kinda bad. With 2500 you can't get these? Maybe a gate for M+ would be nice to get them also. Raid finder feels horrible and weird when your 298 ilvl going in... then you have to do heroic anyways to upgrade it which takes hours and hard to find a group with no xp even if you are 298
How do M+ players feel left out? Running a +15 gets you 304 ilvl gear and is significantly easier than clearing mythic raid bosses. If anything, as a heroic Raider, I feel forced to run M+ to get the 304. I’m fine with that. I think that dinar system is a good middle ground. But 3 is probably overkill for a full season. 1 or 2 would be better.
