Reason number 8 people are forced to use outside simming tools for their gear choices. The reasoning behind this change is probably good, but they just keep adding advanced systems that is nearly impossible for a player to analyze without the help of outside tools.

Oh fun another weekly disappointment making me think that Shadowlands going be yet again another BFA fail experiment cus they add systems without getting any feedback until they reverse course when everyone just screams at them that they're dumb as hell like come on. My entire spec relies on stacking crit being 106% flatlining after that is literally worse thing you can do to my spec as a Fury warrior not only the AOE cap and GCD that makes it feel even worse cus "Oh we need GCD" (When the entire WoW community doesn't) come on Ion.
Aww, well this going to put in a good challenge for me to maintain a high haste stat. Think the highest I've gotten is 40%, not counting the procs from trinkets, corruptions, necklace and skills.
So... from my perspective this is really bad ...My first though :Having the ability to stack a lot of one stats openned multiples game play in the current extension :Fire mage; full crit or full masteryHunter full critMonk heal with haste Huge priest in multi target with crit and haste.etc...It allow us to have a more dynamic gameplay by reducing the gcd.In a second perspective:I do understand the leap between extension, currently playing beta it feel aweful. Everythings is slow, gamepaly for monk isn't reactive enough due to the lack of haste. In a third perspective:Maybe they do this to make sure we dont come back that high and to reduce the consumption on server's power. But blizzard will never tell us that.My solution :Ok do it but make the gcd be 1.0s instead of 1.5s or 1.1~1.2s dimunusing with haste.
Another thing is though the stat flat-lining in this build it going make the PVP scaling problem even worse than it already is if it stays, Rextroy proves the fact PVP-scaling is not a good system in place should go back to days of MOP or even WOD as those were really good PVP seasons people love and adore.
dunno... on one hands, sounds good! no more super quick chaos bolts/G pies, no more full versatility !@#$ and so on..on the other side, i'm thinking about fire mages who need high crit... or my sub rog who should stack lock of mastery...plus, i dont realy want to have to do "complex" math and care about percentages on my stats, wtf?so basically, its a no for me.
Good change, very good change, the spec should be fun no metter how much haste it has... , when some spec will struggle to keep up ( demonology without haste), you can simply tune up the numbers. also with the change like this blizzard can be more wild with the design of trinkets, legendaries or set items. I hate Bfa haste procs to be honnest not even its realy bad when your class sucks without haste its also caused many issues in the game as internal lags, few times i just completely lost the control over my ret paladin with Crusade,Bl and the tons of haste procs from borrowed powers, the buttons simply stopped to react properly becouse GCD didnt worked as it should, its just stopped to work in the middle of the any action..... the same problemes happed to me in Legion (more often on lower haste values, blizzard knew about this glitch i presume, game engine wasnt able to handle it) No more 280k chaos bolts with 0,7sec cast time or 0,3 sec polymorph with 1,5 sec greater pyro spam :D in pvp.
Don't like this. It's unintuitive. If you really want to stack one stat then you should be able to. WoW has started to get way too many under the hood "rules" that kind of tricks players.
Good change. I'm happy with it.
Another hidden mechanic that will lag the server out KEKW
This actually a good thing even though it may feel bad. It helps keep the power creep low. It also helps them from having to squish so much after each expansion. This again help balancing across all specs and could slow down any schnanigans by getting an crazy amount of a particular stat especially with legendaries.
Ok, so now we get reforging back right?
Blizzard yet again, trying to fix a problem the wrong way and adding in yet more complexity

So instead of balancing stats, they just gimp specs that they don't bother to make mastery or anything else work for?
