Oh no, someone who doesn't appreciate the blatant cashgrabs that they've doing with the Diablo franchise. Your day is ruined.
you seem like the person with a ruined day
I ain't getting suckered into spending a ton of money on stuff for a game that's going to be heavily monetized, so no.
the first thing the listing says is that it doesn't include a game then it even says it again in bold and red font. i'm sorry if people don't read what they are buying and just assume things come in the box. i'd much rather they let us buy collector edition things like this separately from now on. this allows people to pick up whatever version of the game on whatever platform they want AND then get the collector edition stuff and not have to worry about reselling another code or having an extra code.
Do you understand what "mislabeled" means? It's not "Comes with the game", it's the fact that it's called
the Diablo 4 Collector's Edition.
It's NOT an "edition" of the game, it's a handful of overpriced things in a box. Let me go back to that Avenger's analogy. If there was a two-pack of figures, Thor and Iron Man, in a box that also included a poster or whatever, but no movie yet it was labeled "Avenger's Endgame BluRay Collector's Edition", exactly how much sense would that make? None. Which is the same as the Diablo 4 "CE" here.
They know calling it a CE will get it snapped up regardless if there's a game included or not. THAT is what the mislabeling is about. It. is. not. an. edition. of. the. game.

Diablo® IV Limited Collector’s Box. huh weird it's not an "edition" of the game. it's a Collector's Box so again, people should READ what they are buying and not just blindly buy things and assume what's in the box

Now they're selling a damn CE without even the game itself, which costs almost as much as the CE itself. It blows my mind how anyone not a total sycophant or mindless consumer could be okay with and justify that. If the CE was called something else and not labeled as the GAME'S CE, I wouldn't be as critical of it (instead I'd just be critical of how they've been jacking the prices of their merchandise. I guess you haven't seen their already expensive $600 polystone statues are now $1100 PLUS shipping?) Their merchandise prices are a joke; They've got cheap items at ridiculous prices. Unless you think a water bottle with a game's name printed on it is worth $60 or something. Or a cheap, thin hoodie is worth $90-$120.
You realize that people can play the game on PC, Playstation, Xbox ?
How do you decide what type of game key is inside the box ? How does PlayStation and Xbox get their cuts ?
Do you also realize that the Collector Box come in different langage too ? Like French, English, Dutch and so on ?
Should they create 20+ version of the box to accomodate to the different langage ? and by Platform ?
Plus if you were able to read correctly you will also see that the product is labeled
Diablo IV Limited Collector Box
and not Edition (also to mention that they also put in red bold that the game is not included)
How can you say that this is a money grab when this is entirely optional and give the customers the ability to choose which game version they want and take the collector box aswell ? Or just take the collector box because the customer like the universe of the game but do not want to play the game.
I feel like by your logic, if they sell a
Diablo IV Shirt
, the shirt should also give the game. lol
