Blizzard's moto: Fix bugs that benefit players ASAP! Anything that add to the inconvenience or more time gating/grind etc..., we gonna take our sweet loooong time 😇
Now tell me that Blizzard dont read Wowhead. I swear they rather read here than ever blinking into their own forums.
Honestly, good on them for just fixing that trinket, instead of giving people bans for a very obvious exploit. Because everybody that used this degenerate method knew very well, what they were doing. You don't just accidentally yourself into using old expansion enchants and gems to accidentally get two or even three stats to the exact same value. In all honesty, Blizzard should be more aggressive with obvious exploiters. Because just the fact that the saying exists "Exploit early, exploit often" shows how weak their actions are in that regard. People shouldn't view obvious exploits as opportunities.

Would love to know if they cleaned up the underlying (mess of) code that made such a proc behavior even possible, or just added a band-aid fix for this particular case. And yes, of course this bug had to be fixed, and it's good that it was addressed quickly. Just as it's good that the other 1753 bugs will be fixed just as quickly.
Well done Blizzard!
I crafted 23 of those trinkets for people after that first article. Lol...
And this comment section went over just as i knew it would. Who could have expected that.
I know the trinket is contentious but I am going to throw my two cents in. I understand and like optimizing my character; however, western society has become too fixated on hyper optimization. I am so tired of everything having to be hyper meta/ hyper optimized. So a part of me is glad this is gone. Plus is goes against blizzards design philosophy when it comes to secondary stats. Blizzard has been simplifying secondary stats for a long time. They got rid of reforging because of this.
