I'm OK with this. It doesn't seem exaggerated for a 30ilvl up.Plus we can easily farm the flux in MM+.Much less annoying than Torghast.
One issue remains though. Base items. It would be so nice and easy to just let use Cosmic Flux to upgrade existing legendaries without buying Rank 7 base items but nah.I guess they noticed increase sales for wow tokens whenever the new patch is out and new ranks are added. And for all comments like:"It's just 29 ilvl, not that big of a deal", "Just wait month or two for prices to drop" or other of this sort I say thanks for input ;].But I want to play best version of my char for progression so the above is not an option.
Hopefully they make it easier to get the base items for legendaries too. Most of my alts don't even have one due to the cost.
I'm not going to resub for this. It's just 9.1 in a green zone. No thanks.
Yes, for alts you will have to run Torghast again. Yes, base items are still expensive.I've just started on my warrior & with Korthia & 1 230 crafted gear (i192 avg.) it's able to run a Level 8 (the 2 deaths were due to one incautious pull leading to a bad fear pulling a 2nd pack and missing the ledge in Mordrethar - I so hate jump puzzles forced by "have to collect 100% to get extra for the cube"). These two took about an hour solo, and, alongside doing one Assault & 2 weeks of Tormentors of Torghast (10 minute event in The Maw) means I have enough cinders for a 190. The rest I'll probably do one run a week to get mission table followers and get extra Ash & Cinders from mission table, assaults and weekly Jailor quest and gradually upgrade (if I decide I want to play that char - I have 7 others already). I reckon it cost about 1 million gold for mats to reach rank 4, per item. That's with gathering some of them myself. The rank 1-3 items are lucky if they go for 150-1000g each, taking weeks (if not months) to sell. The crafting cost per item ranges from around 1,500g to 6,000g. The vendor items - Oboreal Shards at 100g each - are a substantial part of this crafting cost, but material prices are generally high on my server. This is why the base items are expensive. Yes, the early-to-market probably made a tidy profit, but that's probably one or two people per server. I levelled mine purely as a completionist and to help out Guildies as I no longer actively raid.If you haven't already levelled the craft yourself (at this point), you are probably better off farming the mats and asking a crafter to make one either in Guild or asking in Trade. Or, selling the mats on the AH and swallowing the cost of buying the high level base item. Just doing the callings each day for 15 minutes will get you around 2000g + trash sales. So, given we have a month at least before release, that's at least 60K to buy a rank 6 now or offset the cost of a new rank 7.Edit: I'm not saying that I think it's a good thing to force people to run through Torghast for alts to get the currency to get Legendaries. Goodness knows I'm one of the people who dislike doing it. What I am saying is that, in my opinion, it's not too bad as "mandatory content" as some vociferous posters are making out, either in terms of time required or "non-fun" content. If you manage to get a group of friends, on voice chat, to do it, it can even be fun.
Now they just need to add the ability to send soul cinders to alts to make up for the fact that they were incapable of designing torghast to be fun/balanced for every class.
I dont see RBGS as a source im sure thats an oversight
For sure those numbers will be lowered, since its possible to have over 2k daily of that (so basicaly turning it in one week currency obsolete) or and this is what i Think will mostly come, there will be some silly weekly cap like it was with most currencies during Shadowlands...
I mean I think you will get it simply by running Torghast - ie if you farm through Torghast you’ll have accumulated enough of all 3 currencies to create a Rank 7. I would imagine cinders can also be sent to alts too like soul ash ?
Very nice to see legendary materials have the option to come from arenas/dungeons, wish that was the case from the beginning tbh. Maybe Torghast could've been designed to be way more entertaining if it didn't have to be mandatory content doable by the lowest common denominator from the start. Food for thought i guess; Blizzard needs to not get amnesia going into 10.0 again and remember why they have to end up making these changes in the first place.
Edited, nvm, I just found the answer lol
