Disclaimers and Source
The data for this article was taken from the
Raid Statistics Page on Warcraft Logs
for Mythic difficulty during the week of May 20th. We will look at data for the 95th percentile and show the overall results to paint a better picture.
The idea of this article is to give a perspective of the current state of class balance for The War Within Season 2, meaning this is an
incomplete picture of balance
.
We say perspective, as there are inherent biases in looking at the data this way.
Specs considered underpowered are generally played less and tend to appear weaker than they are.
This happens as many performance-oriented players tend to play the strongest spec or class, increasing the gap between top and bottom specs even further.
Position of specs for the 95th percentile might be skewed by alternative strategies and parse funneling. We're including the chart showing all percentiles' results to paint a better picture for all specs.

once again numbers on a graph that dont mean nothing unless your Mythic Hardcore Raiding which less then 95% do. So yeah just something to give false impressions for other content.
Not even that. The charts are so close, that personal skill beats theoretical dmg. Say what you want, but spec balance has never been bether and it's outstanding work from the devs.

The top 4 dps slots are comprised of the lowest APM and least intricate specs in the game. Interesting.
Affli has more APM than feral, assa and windwalker.
That being said, the less convoluted a class is, the easier it is to get it right, both in balance, as well as people playing the class. Not that interesting.

Yes, Google Ion hizzokostas on class balance on youtube were he explains why the balance has never been better! Really interesting how good they have gotten since cata.

Ion has always been there only to say what they think players wants to hear on every subject, just look at any interview they made during Shadowlands or BfA. That being said and while it does feels like the raid class balance is right for DPS, it really feels like it for tanks and healers and the situation feels even worse in mm+. Then at the bottom is how wrong tuning is for delves, "challenge" content or anything else...
