Excellent guide, dear Master of Dye. 10/10!

what about stam plate for tanks? Why would you close the gaps for healers and dps but not tanks?
Perculia you're fast becoming one of my favorite "Volunteer" members of Wowhead... *prepares to spend the next 4 hours in item comparison virtually upgrading alts*Also, one of the most exciting things to me about 4.1 is the fact that these epics can (and will, after a few weeks) be d/e'd into much-needed Maelstroms! Finally I can enchant for Power Torrent, Major Intellect, Lava Walker, etc.. without crying inside at the wasted money. I mean come on... 1.5k+ per Maelstrom to enchant equipment you're going to replace in a few months? Wasn't worth it to me.And no, i'm far from poor. But I didn't become rich by being a spendthrift.
BranArm? I don't get it...(jk)
Very useful. Thanks!
Hmm I look forward to the patch. Only thing that I could want now is Blizzard to give us a day for release. So that I can log in the next day after the bugs are attemped to be fixed. Also off-topic but is there a off-topic post somewear that explains the different titles that the Mod's/Adm's have and how they got them?
Thanks for all the comments and kind words:) It was a lot of work, but I'm personally glad that it's all just comprehensively *there* instead of having to track down little bits at a time. As for my own alts, I try to do enough dailies to hit exalted with my best faction--along the way getting some JP gear and lucky drops. After that, I see about guild alt runs and less frequent heroics even if there are a few holes. My warlock dove undergeared into raiding several months back, my priest got pampered with crafted gear, my DK got lucky in BH, and my 2nd rogue (leveled with herbalism) still needs some help due to unlucky drops. I like playing other roles in alt raids to best understand the fights on my main, but as my primary purpose for rolling alts is for a project to collect most profession patterns in the game, I prefer not to be alt raiding 24/7. I am a raider in a server-first guild as well. I'm not really bothered by the influx of epics and feeling like something is stolen--great, my alts gear up faster! I've never really cared about ilvl, but I really stopped thinking about epics as a 'status symbol' when I was flying around on Invincible yet failed to see Gunship loot drop every week while clearing ICC. And early this tier, some blue trinkets were better than epics for me. If you wear poor epics for your spec with ridiculous gems and bizarre reforging...serious guilds will know. Even back in vanilla, when 'full tier' was considered a status symbol, there was something to be said for 'clown suits'--blues with actual useful stats like +hit and +spellpower, amazing random items like the +expertise gloves from Molten Core/Dire Maul, ZG 2 piece bonuses destroying t1-2 set pieces. People that matter will care about *how* you wear something, not what you wear.I'm not familiar with all the forums as I just started last month--so this may be elsewhere--but I got my title after collaborating with Ashelia on the April 1st joke about Delicia Fay and armor dyes (http://www.wowhead.com/forums&topic=186248). I created the NPCs (including posing my night elf as a blood elf with the orb of deception/barbershop changes) and we kept pushing each other to come up with absurd details that somehow convinced a lot of people. If there isn't a thread somewhere, it would be a neat idea to have one and share stories.
Back in December, heroic Tia's Grace (346) was better than Halfus' Essence of the Cycle (359) for me as a mutilate rogue. Mastery/agi > agi with a weak crit proc. Also, look at all the casters using the 359 Darkmoon Card: Volcano, which is better than many 372 trinkets. That said, a 372 version of a similarly itemized 359 item will obviously be better. But there are some lower-level items with unique stat combos.
Excellent guide, much appreciated
;o. Gratz on the sticky.
