Ah yes, let's just randomly change a warrior talent that has been the same forever 3 weeks before the expansion goes live.
This change feels strange since it seems geared at making Fervor of Battle an AoE spell instead of its historical Single Target usage. The goal seems to be to prioritize Slam usage in single target, but the kicker is that Arms 4 Piece means we'll stop casting Slam and use Cleave instead. If the goal was to make Slam have a place to exist on your bars it will be a temporary place since Cleave will ultimately replace it regardless.Here's to hoping this is an iterative change with some adjustment to Slam in a future announcement.
Stupid change to the whirlwind/slam talent. It was something I really liked about arms in the past.

I am really baffled by what they're choosing to focus on. Minor damage buffs to Arcane while the spec is currently rife with bugs, from broken talent and spell interactions like Slipstream not always working and the outright bugged talents like Cascading Power, to the entire Arcane Charge visual indicator being completely broken. I know pre-patches are usually reserved for them to fix these sort of bugs but they are rapidly running out of time and it's looking like DF will launch as yet another buggy mess.

whoever made these arcane tuning changes knows what they're doing, largest buffs are to explosion/orb which helps in mass AOE, which is arcanes biggest weakness. arcane blast was buffed by 8% but missiles were buffed by only 5% - this is probably fine as long as in single target you dont just spam blast during touch of the magi, but instead only use blast with nether precision.Overall, these changes indirectly buff prodigious savant, and orb barrage - good change.edit: one small downside of these changes is that nether tempest is an even smaller percent of our damage now. while it's cool that nether tempest triggers arcane echo, that interaction is >90% of its damage now in aoe, feels weird since nether tempest already needed to be tuned higher relative to the other spells. On the other side of the same coin, I do like that arcane surge is a bit less impactful relative to other spells.
Sound like every time we'll get near a new expansion the Blizzard class tuning team will go into a frenzy.I hope we don't get another Shadowlands launch day with huge tuning changes hours before the expansion starts.I still remember the Mage discord going crazy with all the Frost nerfs at the very last second.

Fodder to the Flame: 25% of max health plus 20% of max health from Shattered Soul is out of tune in PvP.
Really need to fix bugs for the last 2 weeks imo. Lots of talents out there still bugged or causing other talents to not work etc that need fixing and tbh should really be doing that BEFORE tuning because things like demonic strength being fixed made demo lock go from a bad spec to a good spec for example
