I'd have learned more by talking to a random player on the forum
He could just have said what everyone already knows, I'm 100% sure that mythic being released same week as normal/heroic has everything to do with them wanting the game released before the end of the year while at the same time having the race over by Christmas which would almost be impossible if they released the mythic raid one week later.
Give hero to every healer. Forcing some of my friends to play Shaman, Hunter or Mage because our group needs hero is stupid. Why should someone play something they do not like.
"We'll design it however we want and allow players to leave feedback. Then we'll ignore that feedback, because we get butthurt when players point out obvious flaws in the designs."
Nice of them to do interviews, but when all you do is give generic and evasive answers to each question, we could have also had an AI answer them. Kinda disappointing after all their talk about a more clear and direct communication. Back to usual business, I guess. Best example is all the talk about certain classes having raid/party buffs while others do not, and all he says is that they are "satisfied" with where they are right now in terms of class utility. Adding Bloodlust to another class because only 2/13 have access to it, but not adding dh/monk debuff, arcane intellect, battle shout or other things to classes without such utilities shows a big double standard that has been prevalent in their class design for quite some time. Same old, same old.
Still hate that stupid Drakthyr transmog cop-out. Absolut bull%^&* he barfing in our faces here. As if there was any choice. Lazyness or cut spending. Nothing else.If you want to see the dragon: Transmog you armor off. If you watn an armored dragon let me @#$%ing transmog my dragon.
So dracthyr cant tmog because art team worked hard? What. And dragons dont stop looking like dragons when u add armor on them? The giant wings, the lizard face, the sharp talons? How would wearing a chest piece take away from that? Please add transmog to dracthyr, its the biggest downside of the class/race.
wich weasel designed the balance druid in its current form? just asking for a friend
Even if we don't agree, it's nice to know where the devs are coming from and I think these are good replies. Ty.Quick complaints:@Raid Buffs - "We just want players to feel like they have cool buttons and cool options to bring to the table." - No Monk or DH auto-attacks and goes "OH YEAH YOU SEE THAT BUFF MMM FEELS GOOD". Most raid buffs are hit once pre-pull, or just automatic. I understand the philosophy, but we never got there. Paladin is an example of things that "feel cool" when you get a group-saving bop/freedom/etc, but there's a much bigger underlying concern... How are you expected to balance the classes when some have these notable buffs? Are those classes just expected to have slightly lower DPS/HPS simply because they auto-apply a debuff? That'd be the only fair thing, but that doesn't feel good for anyone. IMO it causes more negative emotions versus positive ones. @Talent Trees - Very concerned with "if necessary" line at the end. It's 100% necessary. Despite the philosophy here, making something like Solar Beam being a DPS loss is flat-out bad design. This is a problem, EVERYONE complained about it, and it's scary to think the dev team isn't seeing it. Choosing between utility = sure, solid, good. Choosing utility OR DPS is TERRIBLE! Please hear us out on this.
