Jesus Christ. This is some of the grossest writing I have ever read in WoW. The quest straight up acknowledges that Alexstasza and her kin sent dragonkin to die in their wars by the thousands, but then has the gall to act like the Dragonkin are actually in the wrong for finally saying, "Enough is enough." after literal thousands of years of oppression. Yeah, sure, we(the aspects) sent you and your kin to die in our wars by the thousands, but you committed some rebellious violence against us in retaliation. So who is really the bad person here?" Absolutely appalling.
I don't negotiate with dragonspawn terrorists, personally. They will be dragon-worshipping zealots as intended or nothing but dust... Glory to the Aspects.
Interesting.
Maldra and Alexstrasza are on the balcony of the main entry hall of the primary tower of Valdrakken. Above where the quartermaster is.
Honestly loving the questlines so far, especially this and the Azure one we got previously. Hoping we get something similar with the Dragonmaw Clan given their recent storybeats in the Waking Shores and Orc heritage questline
This is probably the worst-written questline I've seen in DF so far. I've really enjoyed the expansion to date, but yikes, what an awful resolution to this plot line. These quests were written with a child's understanding of politics. Alexstrasza seems to be completely useless as a monarch, forgiving a violent rebellion just because the other side makes some good points. And that incredibly annoying dragonkin at the beginning — you left the rebellion because people were getting hurt? Why did you join in the first place? What did you think was going to happen in a rebellion? Did you think you were joining a lobbying group? It's a mouthbreathing centrist take on revolution. "Well shucks, why doesn't everyone just sit down and come together and work something out?" That doesn't happen in the real world because discussions like that don't meaningfully improve anyone's actual lived conditions. It wouldn't happen here either.
Another worthless quest-line, ofc everyone is sooo invested into dirt level inner politics of dragons. Can't wait for quest about drain toilet/poop holes in Valdraken, or washing aspects's laundry.
