Hmmm...purchasing raid gear in S4, I like this, the currency to get said item should have some degree of difficulty though if if becomes a thing in Dragonflight, even if you have to choose the token over an item in the vault.
This would actually motivate me to raid again.
I hope this will be a currency obtained by the vault, so each week when you get !@#$ loot. you have the opportunity to redeem a currency, to get a specific loot instead.i'm sick and tired of blizzard saying they removed titanforged, but allowed a weekly rng titanfordged vault.
If this means I could finally get stuff I wanted for transmog that no one runs anymore then I'll be so happy.
I see a lot of people still hoping all of these good decisions will continue once Dragonflight drops, as if we hadn't been through this with Legion and BfA, the last patch is always the "best version" of the expansion.
If you all want all this bad luck protection and purchasable loot, then go play FF14, but please stop ruining this game for those who just dont want to put in the work to get an item to drop. Please cry baby less.
I feel like the people complaining that this will make getting gear too easy are forgetting each raid will only be up for a week on a rotation. It's bad enough trying to get that one weapon or trinket now, but it's going to be downright horrendous if you have to wait almost a month between attempts. This is a nessercary change to make the larger rotation useable.
It's amazing how many people don't want other people to get loot even if it means they may also not get loot. Some determinism is a great step forward (or backward -- see: Badges of Justice).
I want this for every season and for M+ too. Gearing should be more deterministic in general. If you put in time clearing content you should have the gear. Of course one can discuss what is an appropriate amount of runs per item, and that this might not replace drops but be bad luck protection etc, but the idea that you can do something over and over and never have anything to show for it is just garbage.
