Issue I see is Blizzard is yet again behind with the trend. These games were big 5 years ago, how long will this one take to develop? Feels like a Heroes of the Storm situation again. They need to create something brand new, that no one has thought of like they did in the old days.
survival games are Dime a Dozen like rust and what have you zombie fill game... Oooh it made by blizzard and with help of Microsoft backing it....I telling you this now Just like fable legends this won't see light of dawn Some say they get bored want to move back other project Microsoft Dissolved blizzard-activision pass it IP to small team developer and we all get Canned.... Just like Fable got Sh!t can by doing this so well all of Blizzard IP
Cool. Nice to see that a major studio and publisher isn't solely making and releasing sequels identical to the rest of the installments in a series with better graphics for a change. Obviously, major studios have a metric ass-ton of talented people working there able to make original IPs, but convincing the beancounters and management responsible to the share-holders that a brave new world is the way to go compared to another Call of Duty and its accompanying DLC is evidently a lot tougher.Hopefully the survival market isn't saturated to the point of this game being lost in the multitudes by the point it comes out, but even if there's a lot Blizz tend to have a way of making games that attract a LOT of different gamers, both casual and more "hardcore" ones as well such as with for instance Hearthstone or Diablo.
Never thought I'd see them make a survival game. It makes sense I guess. Diversify their games some. They cover mmo, FPS, TCG, MOBA, RTS and ARPG currently, why not make a good survival game. I am interested. Also its for console and PC which I think is great that they think of both now. Overwatch came for both but OW has been out for so long. Nice to see them making sure to cover console and PC for new IP's. Especially with buyout with Xbox, it makes even more sense now to make more console titles. Given how long it takes blizzard to make a new game, I don't see this coming out for couple of years. Blizzard has confidence in this project or they wouldn't have announced it. So maybe its something and step in right direction, some new life in their lineup again. OW was their last big hit/franchise starter. Diablo 4 is still so far away. Next few years could see releasing multiple new titles. Line them up and rebuild themselves as one of the better publishers still out there, as far as quality goes. They just hopefully can churn them out a bit faster (without sacrificing quality, like WC3 reforged disaster).
I really hope the name literally is Unannounced Survival Game.

Seems too risky, I don't think Blizzard can have hit with a new franchise, they have way too much bad press.
I am very hyped for this. I've been wanting Blizzard to make a survival game since MOP. I didn't like Overwatch, or Heroes, but I've been playing survival games from indie companies for years. So I'm excited for a big name to create something like this.
Interested in the idea but is this really needed when they can't keep up with what they already have out?
I'm not sure what 'survival games' are? MMO? Or single player?
Instead of creating new universe, focus on an existing one and push it to the level it deserves. No I don't speak about Warcraft :))))
uff.... again they are way too late. Survival market is saturated since 2 years at least...Everything new is small time stuff.
