Pandemic, a co-operative board game system in which players work together to try to eliminate a spreading disease, is tackling a pandemic close to home for us in a new expansion. Blizzard is teaming up with
Z-Man Games
to allow tabletop gamers to take on the Lich King and the plague that swept Azeroth. Famous for such favorites as Carcassonne and Citadels as well as Pandemic, Z-Man is producing a gorgeous game with stunning miniatures for this collaboration. Z-Man has a first look on their You Tube channel. Check this out.
Besides the Lich King himself, key characters such as Varian Wrynn and Sylvanas Windrunner are instantly recognizable. The care taken with the board design and the miniatures sculpting is second to none.
No stranger to disease, World of Warcraft has already drawn attention in real life pandemic circles. In 2005, the Corrupted Blood incident, aka World of Warcraft pandemic, was an unintentional virtual pandemic within World of Warcraft and has been studied by epidemiologists working on understanding real-world epidemics.
The World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Pandemic Expansion game is due to be released later this year.

More tabletops? Really do not understand what is the draw to this... I think it's worst than phone games... ! Why would I want to play one tabletop game when I can play one PC game? Rolling Dice much be the more boring thing ever... right up there with playing cards (Yeah don't like Heartstone neither!)... hard time to keep awake... ZZZzzz
Same thing why people prefer reading books rather than watching a movie. Modern tabletop have evolve over the years and some of them give a better experience than a pc game. google Gloomhaven or nemesis. Just because it doesn't appeal to you, it doesn't mean there is no demand for it.

Do we need the original game to play or we can playjust with this one?
It's a standalone game, not an expansion.
Thank you mate!
