Before the name Deathwing was whispered in terror, Neltharion was known as the Earth-Warder. During this time, the Aspect of Earth used his power to construct a massive hall deep beneath the surface where he accumulated secret knowledge. A visage of the black dragon still resides within the crucible, waiting for an opportunity to continue the work started so long ago... at any cost.
Bear tanks rip i guess. Big hit incoming, time to change to human form!
Sounds fun, but I bet this will be a mythic-only mechanic. I wouldn't worry too much about it in pugs yet.
All these crybaby metaslaves in the comments whining about a mechanic they have never played, that isn't even available for testing yet. Y'all forget your medication today or something? Good lord. But yet nobody reacting to literally retconning a magic hologram of Neltharion into the game. another 10,000 year old future tech sentient hologram like Sindragosa (which also felt really weird to me)Man, I said Deathwing was going to be a villain this expansion, but I sort of expected him to be a pile of lava goo at the center of the earth, not this. I guess every dragon ever is never really dead and gone, because there might be a magic sentient hologram version of themselves just kicking around somewhere? Yeech.
I've been thinking it'd be nice if they could do class calls in a raid fight again, neat
awww yeaaaaa i love class call
Raid full of treehuggers gonna struggle on this one but probably gonna be a blast to try xDPersonally I doubt it's final, probably some aoe component to come to fit with the rest.
I'm confused why are we fighting Neltharion? So it's a visage? Seems silly a visage can be this powerful to take down a raid.
All Other Classes: You'll suddenly start doing a ton of damage to enemies and allies alike! Your party will need to find creative ways to overcome this challenge, as you are now an extra mechanic in the boss fight!Druids: Yeah, you'll basically just be Zen'Kiki for 30 seconds.
The DK mechanic is really the most annoying one there, unless you are all blood dk's and killing the boss this way for giggles.Poor druids, healers be annoyed guardian tanks be dead, cats be sad.I can't wait to run around as a priest and fear people though in LFR, claim i'm trying to kill adds and such.
Depends so much on what the encounter exactly is like at this point. This could be just a matter of positioning right (mostly away from whoever has the class call active), or it might be a sorry mess. I mean, the Guardian Druid issue was already raised. I raid only Heroic with a group of friends who are allowed to play with the classes they like - HC content is supposed to be clearable without class/spec optimization. Our tanks have been 2 Guardian Druids for several expansions now... We already had to take a DK to help out at Broodmother, which felt bad - this might be even worse.
Am I the only one that think it's kinda wierd that the very rare trinket that have been datamined are shared among a set of classes and now we have these Class Calls that basically works the same for Hunters, Shamans, Warlocks and Monks (one of the set of classes that shares one trinket)? Also, the other two sets of classes pretty much do something similiar? Could be that the Class Call boss is the one that drops the trinkets?
