I don't mind this change because this February will be the first time I don't have to listen to a bunch of people making comments concerning the icon. But there are changes in the game that is concerning me, like removing paintings and modifications to artwork. Fantasy art has been around a lot longer than this game. It has been around a lot longer than I've been alive, and I'm a mid-50's female. It's called fantasy for a reason. I understand there are people who could easily argue that the character models don't represent them. So give us more character model choices by allowing us to adjust certain aspects of our characters, but don't remove the fantasy part of this game that made it so popular. I am now very concerned they'll remove/modify some transmog looks, change our "naked" bodies, plus additional changes to cover our bodies up. Meanwhile in real life people are walking around with less and less clothing on.At some point and time way into the future society will look back on this, and other real life examples, and say that we went too far to correct what we see as a problem. Adding LGBQT friendling paintings into the game would be okay, but replacing a replica of a real life painting with a bowl of fruit is going too far.

Glad Blizzard is addressing the most important issues in the game by getting gaming culture out of a MMORPG. This overreaction to the woke mob outrage is embarrassing. How about this: Improve your work culture/environment and listen to the feedback from the community. Not the "Objectication of women" themes like those stupid paintings and now this. Oh and You are gonna change the icon to a d-ck looking icon while "Big Love Rocket" wasn't on the nose enough to change the mount's name. smh.EDIT: Was this seriously the last straw for someone to make them stop playing the game? lol

I mean though this is an obvious change to deflect the current heat at Blizzard and I do think they're overcompensating and "fixing" too much... nah, this is a good change. I can't stand it when a mount or pet icon doesn't match the model. I do really wish the old painting could stay because nudity is not inherently sexual, but okay, whatever. Blizzard did a gigantic oops and has to rush to try to put their reputation back together.
So that's what Blizzard is doing instead of fixing the ridiculous state of their game. World of Warcraft license has been deserted for a while due to their lack of changes and they're too busy changing useless, meaningless things that nobody even paid attention to for the last decades.I think it's quite important to fix issues such as damages being too high in PVP, every classes losing their 'utility' as all of them got tons of cooldowns (defensives and offensives...).This is honestly tilting to see such things popping out as 'news' when there are thousands of complaints regarding the game itself (Spells, classes, etc...); why would they change things nobody ever reported, like it's a common knowledge that some classes needs nerf/buff and yet nothing is happening for 2 seasons straight.They really need to get back to work as Magni would say and fix what players actually care about.

I would like to ask... why wasn't it like that in the first place ? I mean this new icon looks like the actual mount now and that's great. And as for the former form being "phalic"... well... do someone really cared about that seriously ?
Just for the record the icon isn't actually being removed from the game. It's used for the love is in the air fireworks. This isn't actually censorship in this case, unlike the paintings.
As a female, I appreciate that they have gotten rid of the pink phalls symbol, thank you bliz.
