People like min maxing they find it fun, why do others trash talk them and try to insult how they play? People who trash talk others for how they play in any way are people that arnt happy because the other person is having more fun doing what they like. The fact that covs lock you into one type of content to be the best at it is not fun for people, it makes them stop playing and feel like no mater what they pick its scuffed.

Covenants should have just been the campaign ,cosmetics , utility spell and who you align with overall and which one you like best and then you should have been allowed to swap which ability you can use in Oribos 2nd floor where after you swap a cinematic of a beam coming from the portal of the covenant you chose would hit you and give you the ability of that zone. Allows people to chose which faction they like and gives players choice of abilities easy and simple solution
