Beasts of Prodigum: Your first Maw power chest allows you to gain control of a powerful Maw beast that fights alongside you during your run. Subsequent Maw powers you receive in this run have a chance to modify the beast and grant it special abilities.

The first anima power from Torghast will allow you to control a Maw powerful beast fighting along side you during Torghast. The following powers you get could have a chance to provide special powers to the beast.

The beast will be one of these three:

Chain of Command: Invokes a Horgul, Hound of Darkness, a powerful shadow dog, able to stun individual enemies and taunt them.
Wailing Pendant: Invokes a Nal'tari, a powerful soulhunter, able to howl and increase allies' combat capabilities.
Shade Essence-Lure: Invokes a Valioc, a powerful souleater, able to do AoE damage and silence enemies.

Datamined powers today are:
Anamnestic Memories: Your Maw Beast's movement speed is increased by 50% and it will attempt to retrieve loot for you after combat.
Collar of Teeth: Your Maw Beast's damage done is increased by 25%.
Hungering Anima: Your Maw Beast gains 100% increased damage done, but also loses 2% health every 1 sec while in combat.
Infused Flesh: The cooldown of your Maw Beast's special ability is reduced by 50%.
Runic Etchings: The maximum health of your Maw Beast is increased by 50%.
Satchel of the Hunt: Your Maw Beast grants allies within 60 yds an additional 20% movement speed.
Stygian Victuals: Your Maw Beast regenerates 2% of its health every 1 sec while not in combat.
Symbiotic Essence: The healing of your Maw Beast is increased by 50% and also heals you as well.
Unnatural Claws: Your Maw Beast strikes all enemies within 5 yds while attacking.
Volatile Augury: When your Maw Beast reaches critical health, it detonates and inflicts 20% of its maximum health as Shadow damage to all enemies within 20 yds, stunning them for 3 sec.

People had one reason to do Torghast at the beginning, to max their legendary items. But the inconsistency between those badly designed legendaries is so much and most specs end up with one meta legendary only. Torghast should reward players with more 'enriched' loots. In case any Blizzard dev is reading this: All the complaints here are not universally agreed with. I love Torghast, I've had so much fun doing it and I enjoy playing solo. I think the design is very well executed and it felt a bit like playing Hades. It's so much fun feeling so powerful and really utilizing every single spell my ret pala has to offer.

Layer 8 in Twisting Corridors was a challenge for sure, but felt so rewarding to complete. It had a similar feeling to completing the Mage Tower in Legion. I like that the rewards are limited. Some players don't seem to understand that optional is good. Despite being done with Twisting Corridors, I can now see myself playing it with friends and guildies just for fun, I've enjoyed it that much.

I also understand some classes have issues getting through the whole thing, and while I'm sure some balancing can fix that, I don't the rewards are any problem. If you're really struggling, make sure you've unlocked as many Torghast permanent upgrades from the Maw vendor as possible.

Just wanted to cut through the complaints and let others know that some of us really love Torghast. TL;DR; Let's just agree to disagree, I gave my opinion as well as yours. Is it "wrong"? No, there are no WRONG opinions, but can they be disregarded? Yes, they can. Is it disrespectful to disregard ones opinion? Yes, but will people care? Maybe, not everyone however.

Ugh, where to start..
First off, you're trying to make something very subjective seem like an objective fact. Also, you have no statistics to back up your claims (no, the Wowhead forums do not represent the entire WoW playerbase).
Secondly, all they said was "for the people who do find it fun", with you hypocritically responding that these few people are not 100% of the entire playerbase, while simultaneously claiming that they are "few" - once again, with no stats to back that up.
It's interesting how you manage to seem both casual and elitist at the same time in your post. Somehow, people who enjoy Torghast, are (according to you) apparently casual players who are just happy not to be locked out of content. Anyone actually having fun is simply inconceivable.
What you don't seem to understand, is that Torghast is optional. If you want to progress your gear, you have M+ and raiding, something that's been the same for multiple expansions now. If you feel like that's not rewarding enough, there's no reason for you to do Torghast. If you want the rewards, you do it. That's been the case for any activity in WoW.
If they start littering Torghast with rewards, it will most likely start feeling more tedious and mandatory, much like island expeditions. People will start grinding it for Anima and Stygia and then complain about it on the forums.
Lastly, you just used "remove all the rewards and what do you get?" as an argument, which I find very strange. Obviously, if you removed all the rewards from any WoW activity, less people would play them. Twisting Corridors has pets, toys, mounts and story elements. If that's not enough for you, you can skip it, and stick to M+ and raiding. It's not meant to be a main activity, it's meant to be similar to the Mage Tower in Legion - which it is.
As I previously mentioned, I personally think they struck a nice balance with Torghast, and especially Twisting Corridors. It's not "mandatory", yet I have been having a blast with it, without thinking about any reward. Someone mention that torghast is optional, what an absolute laugh, every wing that has open has been about player progression and improving your gear. the first 8 wings gave Soul ash, twisting corridors rewards a mount to help you farm stygia faster to get those gem slots on the already rare pieces of loot you get throughout the game.

What people fail to understand is that torghast is already mandatory and once it becomes just about pets and toys. all of the people above claiming it to be the greatest thing since sliced bread will turn on blizzard, faster than they can roll on a 187 LFR trinket because they won't have what it takes to clear future floors.

Please don't get me wrong, Torghast is a great idea and fun, however, this isn't Wonderland, player retention and renewed subs is the name of the game. Torghats needs to have rewards equal to other content in the game for the amount of time required to complete it, so players can truly choose between different content to progress their characters or not. They already started going down this rabbit hole with soul ash and the maw mount and they can't with all the hype make it into a dead zone, because deep down inside we all want to improve and have a little edge over the player next to you.
a good example of this is already happening is the rewards from rated Pvp, Pve, and Mythic+, though I agree some more balancing needs to be done, loot from one of these places alone will never be perfect for one type of content, blizzard words, so it will be good to do other content if you are raiding, doing some PVP will help you get better gear, rather than spending an hour and a half with no benefits in (future torghast levels). there is an old saying. Time is money, remember that, because that is the same formula blizzards adhere’s too.
