I wonder just what Winderunner's plan for Quel'Thalas is.If she intends to abandon Lordaeron and the rest of the Eastern Kingdoms to the Alliance, making the Blood Elves either leave their home (and the font of all their power) to potentially be desecrated by the Alliance or worse, forcing them to effectively hold off the might of a whole continent with their runestones and the Ban'dinoriel... then that's just a bit crazy.
All of you saying Sylvanas and the Horde are evil, and now crying that the story is not black and white, and that the Horde are now evil... Please, just pay attention. Don't you see it?Sylvanas is not being evil, she's still very much an unethical character true, but she's not evil. You want evil? Look at the Old Gods, look at the Void, the Demons, the Lich King, there's your evil. Creatures who want to consume all life, corrupt it and/or make it suffer. The Horde is not that. We just don't do thing the same way as the Alliance. Sylvanas is not attacking Teldrassil out of hate or wish to destroy the Alliance. She's doing it to preserve the Horde's existence. She's seizing the opportunity to reach peace for the Horde, but not through treaties and diplomacy, but through conquering our enemies, and making sure they cannot threaten our homelands. Its definitely not a nice thing to do, but frankly its the safest way for the Horde. We cannot trust the Alliance won't attack us using Teldrassil as an entry point. This motivation is not evil, it is actually a good motivation. The end goal is wise, and what both factions want for their own. The means are cold and pragmatic, but effective, and knowing the Alliance, the only option. Especially while Jaina Proudmoore and Genn Greymane yet live. And let's be honest, the only characters within the Alliance that would indeed agree to live in peace with the Orcs and the other races of the Horde, are Anduin and Velen. The rest? Every single man, woman and child, sees the Horde as their enemy and wish to end them. For conflictless peace, both sides must have people that don't wish to destroy the opponent. And both factions lack that type of person. Sylvanas sees this, and so she chose to strike first. And to all my fellow Hordies, thinking we're becoming the evil side, worry not, for now we aren't. If you're worried about the threat Sylvanas told Saurfang about raising him into service, its basically her trying to get the idea of "An Honorable death is better than life" off Saurfang's head, because that ideal is going to get the Horde killed, and both Sylvanas and we don't want that now, do we?Frankly, all people saying the conflict is black and white now are people that see the world black and white as well. Don't be so hasty to draw conclusions, pay attention to the information you have in front of you first, and think it through. All of you saying Sylvanas and the Horde are evil, and now crying that the story is not black and white, and that the Horde are now evil... Sylvanas bringing up Saurfang's dead son to his face was a shamefully heartless thing to say to an ally. Screw her.
Since everyone here is saying the Horde is evil/the bad guy in this I'll go ahead and say why that is bs When it comes to the Horde attacking Teldrassil supposedly unprovoked, the capital of the Horde, Orgrimmar is rather close, the fact that Teldrassil was left alone for so long is what should be a surprise, its simply a logical step to not leave your enemy, because let's not forget the Horde and Alliance are enemies, with a stronghold so close to your own capital, its only natural that is attacked and destroyed. Not to mention the whole point of Sylvanas' conquering of Kalimdor is to make it to where the Horde can be left alone to thrive without conflict with the Alliance. Now moving on to Sylvanas, yeah she is a ^&*!@ in this scenario, but its not like its out of character for her, especially with the whole honor thing. She has seen what awaits her death, and she isn't exactly eager to go back to that, so honor would only be a hindrance and an unnecessary one at that. There isn't much need for honor in war.
Being sanctimonious is a waste of time. It would be better to use your energy to fight for your own goals, whether they be for peace, personal gain or what have you. It is blatantly obvious what Sylvanas is doing is wrong, pointing fingers and demanding justice won't win your battle. This isn't even the real threat, anyhow.
