You mean not like we’ve had RNG every xpac? And really? You want them to just release the entire xpac storytelling just so you guys will shut up about ‘time-gating’. It’s all subjective... BUT Bfa is way better than Draenor, I even prefer it to mop.

Yet another thing that could have been communicated better. I understand it's a spoiler-centric topic, but many people were looking forward to doing this asap.

Early days of comments on this, but the "cycle of entitlement to everything at once" is no less cruel than killing baby turtles... some players need to - but never will - admit that they are no longer target players for games like WoW & should stop playing games based on Expansion Pack thinking.

Fine by me. I’m not going to do a quest that intentionally makes our characters out to be idiots.

Timegating serves the story. Instead of everything happening on day one story is paced in a natural manner. As long as they don't pull of another Broken Shore gating(that didn't make any sense) it's fine. It realy makes sense that some events are spread out. This also allows for much shorter content droughts because you don't rush through everything on the patch release day.

As for RNG, I can agree the game has to much but it's pretty much the same amount of RNG as Legion had. They should just remove titanforging, leave warforging at +5ilvl, make sockets non random on few specific gear slots, maybe jewelry. Some RNG has to be there becasue otherwise you would just complain there's nothing for you to do because you got all the BiS pieces.

Also this news is so unspecific. Raid opens up in a month and they don't give you the date when the quest shows up. It will probably be one week before raid.

This isn't really that much RNG unless they make the drop rate really really low, which I can't see as it's for a lore related quest. The main complaint with RNG is Island Expedition loot as it has RNG upon RNG upon even more RNG. Not sure how anyone would see this as excessive RNG at this point. It is gating content though as the invasion is there. The quest item should drop now. They should have waited until they wanted people to start the quest chain before adding the naga invasions.

Seconded

Sure BFA has alot of misteps but.... WOD its BIG major 1.0 patch... was the selfie cam before you count other expansions bad, remember that fact a Selfie came was considered major patch content.... and there is a reason why WOD only lasted 2 patch cycles, compared to all the other expansions.

Damn, it's like 4 years and people still is talking about a @#$%ing fake news? The selfie was made off work, was never a main content of the patch 6.1

Why so much hate on BFA? is still good game, have some issues, but what expac dont have it ? I still enjoy the game so much

Comment by deathlavitz

You do a couple of these invasions and you should just know its not out yet, something like this hyped up so much on wowhead and i'm sure other sites, isn't going to be a super rare drop.
Blizzard is a company, if they released all the raids at launch and content some people would rush through it all in a month and then be gone for 2 years, can't blame them from releaseing some stuff slowly - be thankful its not do 1 quest and come back next week like suramar in legion or the broken shore questline.

RNG these x-pack been far worse than some x-packs

It's just the game it's not for veterans. That's why we will get classic and maybe after that we will get BC and maybe Wrath, for the sake making this game alive, I really don't want this game to die.

Depends if you play Horde or Alliance, honestly.
I've played on both side, and the Horde side is incredibly frustrating right now. We're selling the soul and honor of the Horde and we chain failures anyway while the Alliance gets almost all the win.

It felt the same for the Alliance side when BfA launched. Prepatch was all about defending against the Horde invasion of Teldrassil and seeing helpless Night elves dying and losing their home. Malfurion got axed from behind like noob and Delaryn was killed.
After that we got battle for Lordearon where we won nothing. It was all calculated by Sylvanas.
Then we were reuniting Jaina with her mother, while Horde got relevant story for the upcoming raid.
In 8.1 I was looking forward for some revenge for darkshore but again seeing Malfurion and Tyrande unable to kill or threaten Nathanos, while he raised Delaryn and Sira, was something really dissapointing for me as Night elf fan.
The only victory was killing Rastakhan, while also losing Mekkatorgue. But for Zandalari, it is better to have Talanji as the queen than stupid Rastakhan, who sold himself and his daughter to Bwonsamdi and was blind to Zandalar's problems for the whole story progression.

loud and enthusiastic applause for this comment

Um excuse me, it won't die because you and your small pack of disgruntled "veterans" leaves. I hope you have a good time in Classic, but Classic is not the game for the majority.

I realize I’m probably one of the few, but I’m not upset. I just unlocked two races and have more than enough other stuff to keep me busy while waiting for this to be added.
