@#$% every designer for every memory role play kindergarten bull@#$% intermission they create. not even gonna zone into that crap.
7 is kinda crazy are they designing for addons again?
No mention of nerfing the addon yet...https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/aztarec-helper
This is very bad indeed
*grabs popcorn*
A lot of 12.1 design decisions are being made with addons in mind and yet the API is still a disaster.
The change to the cone during intermission doing more damage is fine, the simon says mechanic will simply be done with an addon so making it harder is kinda stupid.
Since when were memory games fun? Does every boss need some whacky gimmick?
not a fun mechanic....
Yeah... This boss is addon city.Or even /s city.
As someone with visual impairments and issues with memory patterns, this is a fricking nightmare.
More slop content featuring everyone's favorite: white melee swings. Yay. It majorly disadvantages clothies, and majorly advantages tanks.I've never even attempted a ? or a ? Delve on my Arcane Mage. But I beat it every season so far that there have been Nemesis bosses on my Blood DK. It's always a cakewalk. This one looks a little more rough with the memory game, but world markers and just talking out loud to myself the sequencing while I am doing it will be enough to pass that mechanic as well.I really wish Blizzard would do something other than "lol boss hit vry hard haha" it's just so annoyingly boring and it's not equal for all the different classes/specs/roles.And so, until they fix their garbage design, I'll just keep gearing my BDK and doing the ? and ? on him. It's always so easy, lol."We-have-no-creativity-left-in-our-bones" Blizzard never seems to improve their designs. It's the same garbage design in Diablo 4, too -- another Blizzard game. Every monster drops "on-death" explosive effects or poison puddles, meaning you have to play jump jump jump around mini-game while trying to DPS the mobs just to not die to all the one-shot on-death explosive spells going off. And again, these aren't actual mob abilities. The mobs aren't hard. It's ONLY their on-death explosions that can kill you. Nothing else can. I just want games where there is better combat design. It's so bad in WoW and D4. Make the mobs themselves harder, and make the stupid auto attack stuff less prominent in wow and make the on-death explosions less common or remove them in D4. Seriously. Both games are in such sad, sorry states right now with regard to actual combat.
I'm sure people who are bad at the game will be really chill and normal about this.
Why do they still insist on making autoattacks a mechanic for some classes/specs but not others?Tanks just get to ignore it, and because the main mechanic is health % based rather than timer based, their lower DPS doesn't matter. And if it's anything like Nulleaus, you'll get the same @#$% like the boss meleeing twice as hard if you're an Evoker compared to if you're a Mage, meaning that Evokers got hit far harder post-mitigation. It also applied to if Valeera was tanking, even though she's the same regardless of your class.Either make autoattacks !@#$ over all classes equally - no stupid per-class tuning, only per-role tuning so that tanks can't ignore them - or simply make the autoattacks irrelevant and add other interesting mechanics.
As someone that suffers from Short-term memory loss I feel attacked
That's just rubbing salt in the wound. I already have enough memory issues I wasn't going to get to beat this boss in time for the ahead of the curve, now I can't even come back to it later. I understand you can't accommodate every disability in a game, but it'd sting a lot less if it weren't for the fact nobody who doesn't have memory problems enjoys it either.
