If you happen to want the opposite effect (getting the reticle back) you need to use the clause.I have a multi-ability macro for my Warrior's mobility - Charge, Intervene, and Heroic Leap. Since Heroic Leap was tied to the ALT key, it started doing funny stuff this patch because it wanted to jump on my target (instead of away, on a location of my choice) so it was a mess. Fixed it by setting @none as the target.#showtooltip/cast Intervene; Heroic Leap; Charge;
If casting @target with damage reticles doesn't work but it does with a mod key then one or the other is clearly bugged and not meant to be that way. I really wish cast @target worked.
big fan. wish blizz would just allow @target. maybe disable it in pvp if you have to, but pve for sure. one of the small demographic of disabled players, i use consoleport and an xbox controller as my sole input method. i can make @player and @cursor work, but it's not ideal. @target would help a lot.
*********IF YOU CANNOT SEE THAT OPTION IN INTERFACE>COMBAT*******Im using elvui and it does not show for me in that area. you must go to elvui > Actionbars
Got fixed on the moment of 18th june, 5:38 am cest. Now it works like intended and puts all AoE spell only under your character model
Fixed
Did everything on this post, but skill is used on my character rather than target. I literally did everything this post said and even disabled all addons but skill is always cast on my own character.
Pretty sure it was hotfixed, been beating my head on this for a bit tonight.Edit: as mentioned above that I missed ;)
As a disable, for 4 days i've enjoyed playing Destruction on my Warlock again in dungeons. Now i can go back to Demonology. Atleast give us the option to enable it again in the accessibility section. If PvP is your concern, make it functional in PvE environment only.
Had it working, but it's definitely been hotfixed now. Alas, alas. :(
After making a huge fuss about ablism in their new code of conduct, then implementing something like this that drastically improves QOL for differently abled players, this is a huge kick in the nuts to have it ripped away days after it is discovered. Everyone is complaining about its use in PVP... but it only worked on stunned targets that weren't moving anyways... which a regularly abled player at any rating about 1.4k is already landing every time anyways.

Kinda annoyed the 'fixed' this so it no longer works as the article described.
Tried it again today after a game update, and when I try the @target in the macro after setting up self casting it casts it on my character, did it get hotfixed?
This was patched very quickly after the article was written.
