It was such a delightful surprise! I simply mentioned there was an easter egg, thinking oh, maybe someone would find it eventually, and then BAM. Selfies! and not just selfies, but booping and a little bit of roleplay as the icing on top. So wholesome. Love this community!

Huh.

Neat

Wow needs a REAL secret. Shadowlands was very underwhelming in that regard.

The Slime Serpent does NOT count as a secret IMHO.

Was hoping Uuna would get a continuation, still not too late for that I guess.

Wow needs a REAL secret.

We had one and it took 10 months and someone that doesn't even play WoW to solve it.

Wow needs a REAL secret.

We've literally been told by the devs there are multiple secrets in-game that haven't been discovered yet.

No thanks

Jandaar of the Mists can be found outside the Halls of Atonement in Revendreth. The reference is, of course, to Jander Sunstar, an elf vampire - possibly the very first elf vampire, from Golden's Ravenloft novel, Vampire of the Mists.

Is this what is now considered to be a Easter egg?

I still hope the Tiger mount is actually available for everyone, just locked behind a not yet discovered secret.

Also adding a character from your og novel which has nothing to do with WoW is not really an easter egg. its just self-indulgence

I like how at the end of the article it makes it seems like she's so surprised that people found this NPC. It's been in the game forever and the fact that nobody called it out demonstrates how unknown her book was. She had to beg people to go looking for it.

Removed(##RESPBREAK##)272##DELIM##Uchur##DELIM##Inappropriate Can I challenge her and Danuser to write at least a mediocre story that's better than primary school essay?

Comment by SCJ17

As much as people want to riff about the character being unknown -- unless you were reading her books in the 1990s, most people wouldnt know about this character unless you did a DnD session for for the Descent into Avernus adventure that came out just two years ago. It was a character solely in the books.

Interesting call back and easter egg, but people are making a bigger deal out of this than it should be: whether negatively and positively.

Welcome to Wowhead, where you arent allowed to criticise blizzard

Have you read the comments on literally any wowhead article?

Even when the article is absolutely objectively positive, there's rabid criticism.

Nothing wrong with that.

The ability to criticize without negative consequences is one of the most important god-given freedoms that we enjoy.

On the other hand, it is equally important that, to those who criticize others, they should expect to be criticized back.
