Why people speak about master loot like it will never drop dead items that nobody need or can't use?
Regarding the addons the question, I'm about the point it's fine for me for them to delete DBM and combat addons. If it's delete the raid frame addons, they can just implanted it themselves like they're doing with the revamped UI and hire the autor addons responsible. The trade off is having fun raids it's totally worth it
Master looter should stay dead and burried. A very bad decision to bring it back.
Never bring back Master Loot. It's an open door to abuses and crooks. It's not because some people are honnest that crooks and thieves will be too.Personal Loot is the best thing right here. Restrictions are a little bit exagereted sometimes but it's a million times better with it.
"having DBM is pretty much required" sadly yes for a lot of people.. When you see how many people are unable to play properly without these addons for assisted players, including top ones.. This is ridiculous. That and macros. How much people doesn't deserved what they got ? A lot, yes, probably you who's reading this too.
Why not making personal loot without ilvl restrictions? I don't get it. It will be a personal lot ++
Just make master loot only available for guilds, like lets say 15/20 or maybe even 20/20 people have to be from the same guild to enable this option.
Great interview dude ! Hoping this is the beginning of a good colab with Blizz, we'll all benefit hugely.
The sword asnwer seems SUS to me. Like they are up to something but don't want to reveal it yet.
Bring back master looter will bring back ninja looting and looting to the person who is master looter. That was the big outlier in the expansions that had master looter. In order to combat the massive amount of ninja looting and looting to oneself was to remove master looter. What shouldve been done was improve on personal loot and slightly increase the drop chance so that everyone in the group gets something. last debacle that was a total Sh*t storm was the Vicarious "going to give thoridal bow to this rogue" In which the bow was given to a rogue while there were four hunters in raid. What was the end result? a disbandment of the entire guild because the guild members all came to the consensus that it was wrong. Whether the rogue was a veteran in the guild or the hunters were new, the bow was a hunter weapon and classified as such. I also see the debacle of going through an entire raid short of the final boss or mid stream raid and the item the master looter need drops, he gets it and then does the "peace out" before leaving. I myself dont want to relive the chaotic raid days of raid disbandment because someone got what they came for and leaves. If that is the case, then if he leaves. he gets a penalty of some sort. Besides ninja looting is against blizzards term of agreement. Keep it out of the game. Again, slightly increase the drop chance of loot for the person and dont base it on the amount of players in a raid.
In regards to loot if they just removed all restrictions with personal loot and let players trade freely you wouldn't need master loot. For add-ons I feel they could simply design fights assuming you had no add-ons at all. Then if players choose to use combat add-ons and it makes the fights boring or trivial that's on the player.Just tune fights with no add-ons needed and me the difficulty designed as such. Players can just choose to not use combat add-ons if they want to experience the challenge but they can't complain the fights are too easy or boring when they choose to make it that way with add-ons.Also not talking about UI add-ons that tell you player health, buffs, debuffs, etc. I'm more referring to add-ons like DBM where in 10 sec inc this ability. If players had the choice of it being a challenge by not using add-ons and simply taking the time to learn and memorize fights or have an add-on almost okay the game for you.Kinda of how in the day games were designed a certain way and players used GameShark or Code Breaker to make it easier. Same thing add-ons are like using a GameShark or Code Breaker
