Hopefully this doesn't happen too early. I still want to raid :O
So if you dont do the quest... you keep the artifact
RIP Xal'atathOr hello, Xal'atath empowered by Sargeras' sword as a Battle for Azeroth raid boss.
Question: are artifact traits disabled when a character completes that quest, or when whichever patch goes live?
Mmm, i don't really see any benefit to finish that quest, at least until BfA goes live :)Why would anyone volunteer to destroy their weapon unless they forced to do so, so what am I missing?P.S. Nevermind, after refreshing the page saw Neryssa explanation :). Damn, wish it was just a quest :)
So once BfA is live, can we just skip the quest and keep the 15 ilevels and traits?
I know it's a small complaint, but it bugs me that all these lore figures happen to be alliance races. Unless the champions differ slightly for Alliance/Horde players (and class)Human - Darion, VargothNight Elf - Rensar, Kor'vasDraenei - IshanahPandaren (both factions) - Ponshu
But what happens to Hati? Do any of these weapons retain the cool flavour things like that? The talking skull, staff, dagger; the hidden effects, the afk ground effects for classes like druids and DKs...can we still access them if we have our artifact equipped, or do they literally become useless junk that aren't even keepsakes of nostalgic value?
What total and utter crap of an ending to our artifacts!
If you don't retire your weapon, the world blows up and your account gets deleted. :-P
So lorewise Darion Morgraine wears Apocalypse. I guess they retconned his "I am glad the Lich king cose you instead of me. I am done with magical blades." line from the very start of DK campaign.
In the latest Q&A they stated that we will still lose our artifact powers even if we don't do the quest. The same way that people that haven't done argus see the giant sword. Now to complain about how this doesn't give any good bye to our talking weapons or Hati.
