As long as I can customize Amani trolls to have regular troll noses, I'm game.
I think this is probably a better way of doing it, we already have two troll races, I know it's not the same thing but, well, just look how many different types of dwarf there are, it'd get a bit ridiculous.

The heads look a little too much like orcs with mammoth tusks though, hope they change that.

I think the majority of the player base will be OK with this.I think there are two types of folks who will be upset. Those who wanted a dedicated Amani allied race...and those who wanted a dedicated Amani allied race so the Horde could have a counterpart to them getting Alliance High Elves. Yes, it always comes back to those pesky Blood Elf clones in the end for a lot of folks.No Amani trolls removes the possibility of a counterpart for them.
Thank goodness they didn't do the $%^&*!ed approach and make it a NeW alLiEd RaCe!Now if they could clean up the race selection screen and merge clones (unless faction dedicated) into appearances that would be great.
please do not become a playable race not EVERY troll elf or dwarf variant needs to be its own race
They can keep these horrid creatures, better off without. Should have given the Heroes of the Storms Zul'jin model instead of this weird gremlins fed after dark males and Orc female aberrations with tusks.
great change.allied races should just be collapsed into their corresponding race, with exception for ones like nightborne. no reason for there to be 500 races when they could be customization options on character creation similar to how the dracthyr are with body sizes/etc
So not even model/customization previews, just the clickbait question "Will they be an Allied Race?" with the answer "likely not" buried at the end.
To be honest, having those as Darkspear customizations would make some other allied races, Lightforged Draenei in particular, even more jarring for being their own separate race. Especially if you get to choose a completely different body type for trolls! I expect these to be about haircuts, tusks and maybe a few other details, but not a new full body option.
Tbh I prefer Amani troll colors (and perhaps some extra customization options like accessories) for the existing darkspear trolls over having another allied race...
I really hope that the new appearances are actually interesting and not just different skin colors and different hairstyles. Players would love to see model differences to actually differentiate Darkspear/Jungle Trolls from Amani/Forest Trolls.
Darkspear was already the best race, glad we’re getting some more options. Can’t wait to see the troll themed armor. While it would be awesome to have Amani join the horde, these particular models look bad. Glad they’re going this route.
