Probably just jelly EU boosters didn't come up with that idea first. Now that people know its possible, next raid tier it might change. Might even see trade chat spam doubled (not that it can get any worse on some realms: 2-3 boost messages per second) with added hall of fame boost spam and Blizzard not doing anything about it.
I mean I'm fully supportive of anything that helps players/communities start Mythic raiding across servers. The Horde/Alliance hall of fame criteria was a needless restriction.I've actually wondered why more Alliance guilds didn't just have their raid team join a new "guild" each week they rekilled sire to fill up the hall of fame faster and allow the WoW community to start playing more freely.
They need to make china their own little HoF list where they can boost HoF all they want, like wtf. They need to extend HoF and allow guilds that are actually progging these bosses right now a chance at the title, not these boosting wannabe children. This is also definitely RMT/Piloting so blizzard has to look into this.
Blizzard should just lock the lockout for the week even if you server transfer
The entire concept of "faction hall of fame" locking cross-realm mythic groups needs to be done away with anyways. In fact, the entire faction system needs to be adjusted. Let people play PvE cross-faction.We can still have "RAAAAH GLORIOUS WAAAAAR" by opting into PvP content. This is a problem Blizzard has created, and it's biting them in the ass. Probably not hard enough for them to care, though. It's more of a nibble.
gold is doin the job and its part of the game. so who cares?
Am I the only one reading this wonder what the heck boosting is? Would it kill the author to add a paragraph explaining what boosting is so readers have some context?
Get rid of factions for the Hall of Fame, and let it just be 150 Guilds overall to open up Crossrealms for Mythic...
Really weird to see people singling out Chinese guilds for this when US/EU guilds have been doing the same thing since Uldir, I remember something weird where they'd set up a shell guild full of boosters so that you could pay for the boost and keep your Famed Killer of Ghuun title while being separate from the legit top guild that carried the boost. Seems the the CN guild just cut out the shell guild and is having their entire guild get boosted. Either way the quicker to Cross-Realm Mythic the better.
I think the only logical way to stop this or prevent it in the future, is to have something in place similar to a guild group achievement, where you need xx% of players in the group from the same guild to get a guild achievement kill. To be eligible for a hall of fame kill, if the group has xx% of accounts in a specific group (lets just say 50% as an example), so if 50% of the group have characters on an account already in the hall of fame, then that group isn't eligible for a kill count into the hall of fame.
or give to alliance op stats like horde got for 8 years
Just sell Blizzard already to Tencent or something like that
I said it before and ill say this again:Hall of Fame was a mistake of a title and Cutting Edge should reward the Famed Slayer title instead. Tying the title to the guild just makes it not as appealing.
