Still not enough to contain my absolute burst
LolIf it's the same amount how throw glaive from dh generated much more aggro than blood dk skills
Seriously a flat 18% buff on the threat multiplier was probably the worst way to fix the tank threat issue. Protpals, Warriors, Brewmasters and especiallly VDHs dont have any threat issues in m+. Giving them another 18% on top means they can severly fail their rotation and still keep threat, which shouldnt be the case. Bdks and Bears however just lack in offcooldown AoE dps. That needs to be solved instead of just buffing tank threat in general. The second and even more troublesome issue - tanks loosing threat to other tanks because of a wide output range between specs - is not adressed at all. As a vdh or bear its a pain in the butt to keep st threat against the remaining tankspecs. Again, this could be solved by just upping their output to match what theyre up against.

A welcome change, plenty of people don't know how to hold dps when a tank is gathering up a (big) pull, even when told to hold dps. Even more so when you got a rouge!/hunter not misdirection every pull which oddly still resulted in stealing threat at times. Speaking from both a hunter and tank perspective.
According to the datamined text (450 to 550) this is a 22% increase.
Good change. IMHO, this should have been addressed earlier though. At season start I had people ripping threat off my Prot Paly all the time once they got their 2 & 4-pieces and dual legos. It wasn't until I got my 4-piece did the threat issues die down because of the additional passive threat generation from free judgements flying around every few seconds.Right now it's worse if you're leveling a new character. A non-4 piece 260 iLvl tank can't even hold aggro off of 270 4-piece iLvl players.Last season I could tank +15s @ iLvl 230 and hold aggro off of 250 iLvl people.
Besides, Threat was in fact buffed going from BFA to Shadowlands. In Legion, Tanks had a threat multiplier of 1000%, so while doing 1/10th of the damage of a dps they would still maintain threat. That was bull!@#$ and led to massive kite pulls while outranging their casts. In BFA, Tanks startet with a multiplier of 400%, which later in the expansion got upped to 600% because of azerite powers and such having a more drastic dps impact than expected.Shadowlands started right at 450% which is now upped to 550% as a result of tier bonuses and lego synergies pushing some dps specs through the roof threatwise. So in fact theyre doing the same thing they did in Shadowlands, using the threat multiplier to even out shortcomings in tank output. Which is BS as I explained in my last post, but makes sense if youre trying to avoid the hassle of balancing efforts.
What about buffing pets?Taking the aggro from the voidlord with my 25x geared warlock is too easy already.
I feel like out of all the tanks this probably affects Warrior the most. Warrior has horrendous snap threat compared to an Avenger's Shield or a Keg Smash and has to talent into Ravager to even get snap threat to begin with (barring Spear of Bastion). Charge+Revenge does horrendous damage and isn't likely to hit the entire pack to begin with as opposed to something like Guardian who has a circular AoE on Thrash, but also gets the benefit of the pulsing AoE from the 4pc.
