The thing is 460 gear isn't even enough to be competitive above let's say 2.1 rating PvP gear isn't enough rewarding for a pvp player to grind above unless he out skills the players having higher skill cap against players with a lot better gear. PvP players should be rewarded and have a fair game. Do you know that Whazz considered one of the best Rogues first grinded himself way up to 470+ PVE gear just before he stomp into arena on he's alt Warrior? We speak of a 0.1% Players right here and he didn't dare to go to yolo without at least the best pre-competitive gear cause that how much PVE gear matters currently. Why do you think DrainerX 3400+ Rank1 healer complains a lot about the PVE gear?(Corruption RNG is even worse and Corruption is obtained in PVE) Cause players who have top notch PVE gear have advantage over PvP players and pvp players have to race in pve do PVE content just to keep themselves in the race. Bring competitive gear into PvP vendors compere to the PVE gear and restrict having disadvantageous items from pve completely allowed to use in PvP.
Also, last time I checked The AWC pays how much for a win vs MDI? How many viewers are watching MDI and WF races compared to the AWC? Irrelevant, thats laughable.
How about we just not have PvP or PvE scaling and no PvP stats? If someone out gears you then they simply out gear you.

Good. This is a good direction if true. High tier PvPers should have an distinct advantage in PvP gear over those without it, just like high tier PvEers often have player power that eclipses non-PvEers. I hope PvP Power also becomes a replacement for versatility's defensive component, but I can see that not happening. Oooooh, and if they remove PvP scaling and templates so the damage dealt is the damage received, that would be just wonderful.
