Was about to ask why in the hell is there an 8 hour maintenance on a non patch day before remembering the date. That's just 2 weeks and some change before Midnight releases, they must be doing the throw everything else into live and start bug/glitch checking dance.
Why its always super long downtime cant they beta test it first before putting it in a live?

US patch release is the Beta test. The EU patch is non beta test :P

This is by far the buggiest pre-patch experience I've ever seen and I've been playing since Vanilla. Then you have Eon going on record in interviews talking about how they'll continue to deliver the highest quality content and patches moving forward...do you even play your own game bro?
While I do agree that the fact that we are paying to test this freakin' game in real time is quite annoying, this maintenance time isn't foreign to ppl who played when they actually gave a rip abt what they put on live...I started in TBC & full day maintenance was not uncommon at all, sometimes even lasting a day & a half or a couple days, just to make sure things were set to release. I give that part of this whole thing grace, as should everyone else, but ppl love oh so much to complain.That being said, time for my biggest complaint since I'm done complaining abt ppl complaining (lol) AGAIN - relying on paying subs to Beta test this game every week/patch/xpac should not be acceptable. It was a mistake to start allowing ppl to just willy nilly get Alpha/Beta testing abilities b/c all ppl do is log on to see what is coming, & figure out how to play it when it goes live...the testing part of it has all but disappeared, & that's ALSO on Blizz.
