Nice! I like the eye idea better than the zone because the corrupted zone could potentially cover other mechanics that you need to watch the ground for.
So the Eye is essentially the same as Corruption Zone, but without the massive, ground-obscuring graphic. Good change.
While I still don't see a problem with the corrupted zone covering up stuff on the ground (I'm sure there are some cases), the replacement sounds like a better way of doing it though it may now be harder to notice.
Way better than the zone effect, I think that's a great idea!
