If you buy a loaf of bread, and there's a free mini candy bar taped to the loaf of bread as a promotion, you don't generally spend your time complaining that the free candy bar wasn't free, because you had to buy the loaf of bread. You eat the candy bar, enjoy it, and think "It was nice that I got this free thing along side the thing I paid for." If you're buying loaves of bread expecting candy bars, your life is going to be a hard one.
I can see a frenzy happening if the bundle prices go up in response to this.
I don't mind seeing tender in an expansion bundle. In fact, I think it's a decent idea. I just don't like seeing tender on a cheap bundle because you're basically just buying the tender at that point. This is the correct way to bundle tender.
I mean, we got bonus tender for retroactively purchasing Dragonflight.
Is the game going free to play yet? In no world should a game with a monthly sub fee and expansion box price have microtransaction in it.These 'TENDIES" as they call them, should ALL be EARNED IN GAME. IN THE GAME YOU PAY FOR EVERY MONTH!
I dont think this is to bad , im pretty sure no one is buying these deals for the tender its just a bonus
Before:"We aren't selling Trader's Tender! It's going to be entirely an in-game-earned currency!" "Wow, that sounds like a great way to foster engagement by making people log in every month and community good will! Everyone thinks you care for nothing but money."Later..."You said you weren't selling Tender.""We aren't. We're selling other things that include Tender. Now pay up if you want our increasingly expensive Trading Post items."
