Thing is;Each new season in the expansion is ruining all your gear you got previously from the 2 seasons before for example. The power creep of each season is just too big and makes you wonder why you do it in the first place. Its not 100% rewarding your time investment. I dont want to be that guy that refers back to classic but MC gear going into Ahn qiraj for example isnt that bad and you will get invited. Imagine doing that in retail coming with s1 gear running into s3 raid.I just wished that the time investment in Retail was more rewarding and not being completely washed away when S2 is running for a while. Sure the new season needs to bring better numbers but why does it need to be 100k more instead of 10k. Excuse for my writing. I hope you didnt get sick of it lol
"Morgan will rate this season as 7.5 or 8 out of 10."yyyy yes...Aug,Bala,Ele,Enh,Disci,Frost DK and Prot Pala - they are very happy.
Giving TWW S1 a 7.5 or 8/10 is a liiiiiiiiittle on the generous side, I feel.Far from the worst when stuff like BFA S1, BFA S3, or DF S2 exist, but definitely not a good season.
The Xal'atath affixes were definitely not super successful, hello?
"The way Morgan described it is you have a 'rotation' as a healer, but if you mess up your rotation someone dies. It's definitely stressful."Before Shadowlands , healing was consistent through and through , fast castable heals from basic rotation were able to easily top people while slower one and cd based between 12ish to 1 min cds were used in extreme situations where you "fill the gaps of your rotation". Nowdays neither of those is true , you gotta align cooldowns based on "how hard is next pack" or "at which boss aoe phase" to heal people , thats why all heal classes eventually got more and more "major cds" rather than giving them power in their basic rotation and this trend is killing the joy of healing M+.
8/10 is wild
this season was probably a 2-3. if he thought this season was a 7.5 out of a 10 then what did he think df s1 was a 10 or sl season 1 was a 10 cause those seasons sucked but df season 1 was at least better than this season by far.
Isn't this the guy that had a meltdown the last time wowhead posted his interview?
"When they did the level squish, it essentially double squished the lower levels of keys; instead of it being 2 to 10, it was more like 7 to 10. The progression got really condensed."Was there not a lot of feedback which stated exactly this? Why was it a surprise to them.
I think 8/10 is correct here, especially for an expansion launch. If we put it in modern context we had bfa launch with the gcd changes, shadowlands with the predicted covenant disaster and dragonflight with the talent tree growing pains. The only valid complaint about this season is that the dungeons and the later end of the mythic raid were too hard. But really for most players dungeons end at +10, and after the justified nerfs it was just a skill issue at that point. The new affixes, except the soak one, were so good compared to the old ones. And nerubar finery worked great to outperform broodtwister and kyveza with silken court remaining a skill check. On top of delves being a succes for the single player low skill community with the zekvir challenge.WoW is doing a lot of things right, and season 2 is only looking to improve on s1.
"Morgan will rate this season as 7.5 or 8 out of 10."How can you show us more how out of touch you are? This was the worst M+ season by far and it's not even close.
