My biggest accomplishments and events that get me excited are tied to raiding. I led a raid for a few years and every time we completed current level raid content I felt a strong sense of pride and accomplishment. I was always a lot of work and sometimes some drama to get through these instances, but at the end it was all worth it. For an actual item I would choose my hippogryph hatching. This pet was the first rare loot card pet I acquired. I am not able to buy loot cards off eBay due to the high costs they have, but this cute pet was on the black market auction house. Even though he cost me a pretty penny I was excited to get a pet I thought was out of my grasp.
Finally after 5 years of playing finishing all the holidays and getting the Violet Proto-Drake. Merry Maker was the last part of the Meta Achievement I needed this year.
Probably when I got the correct Mysterious Camel Figurine and was ported to Dormus. I was saying "ohmygodohmygodohmygod!" to myself for the whole loading screen and then was shaking a bit and forgetting to breathe while downing him xD. Couldn't believe it, phoned my bf and everything after I got it even though he didn't care haha. I've had exciting raids and other things but this one I was just going crazy for some reason... probably moreso than for TLPD.
The most exciting for me to achieve in game is basically just running new raids for the first time. I get all excited when that very first boss goes down. The loot pops up, everyone gets all crazy and also the achievement. Oh how i love achievement hunting. Sitting at 10k+ achievement points, i get all hyped up knowing how much I've achieved in the game. How much experience and gear I've received. Brings back memories from the time i first started playing World of Warcraft back in 2007. Well. Good luck to me and everyone else. :) -Infernoloco
Buying game cards with gold, I'm free for another half year and have been for a year and a half!
Swift Zulian Tiger. Finally got it in wotlk after long months of farming :)
That was such a fun quest line, I still have the 3 items needed to do the summon. I will keep them nostalgia I am not sure why they took this out of the game .

I've always wanted to dual-wield the Warglaives so bad, but for some reason I've always ended up playing classes who couldn't use it, like my priest... But when MoP was released I decided to go for a monk, and after a total of 9 runs in BT., I had them both - I'm so happy noooow :-)
I about jumped out of my seat when I finally got my Raven Lord mount after weeks of farming.
Looking for same cool pet XD
years ago, killing C'thun, after evenings and evenings spending in there...
hope i could win something
Getting my first stage daggers was pretty nice, the story just made it so much more enjoyable.
