I just always assumed that there was a cap of 1 buff per player, why is this obviously thing not already implemented ? Yes it means you dont get a 2 aug team in m+ but that is a small price to pay.
I think about some kind of diminishing returns here. First few Aug Evokers (e.g. up to 4) would buff as is is now, but then every extra one above that number would apply smaller and smaller buffs. On chart it would look like a square root.
I kinda figured something like this was possible LOL. Cmon blizzard just do some real internal testing please. bring actual players for that stuff.
this will be nerfed prob causing any amount of aug evokers stacking buffs past 2-3 have massive diminishing returns if putting on the same player or making it just one aug per player type thing
Blizzard: "Don't exploit the game!"Blizzard: *Introduces new spec with minimal testing*Gamers: *plays as intended*Blizzard: "... we did not think this through."Introduce a mechanic that is more harmful than an actual exploit? 10/10 Blizzard, this is why people still somehow love you.
I mean something has to be done about this obviously so it's good they released this spec in the middle of the tier instead of at the start so things like these can be discovered when they don't really matter.
A cap on the aug buffs is an obvious one, but I think they need to nerf a tonne of the cooldowns across the board whilst increasing consistent damage. Specs need to be more like outlaw rogue / bm hunter and less like fire/arcane mage. The power of CDs (for some specs) has gotten completely out of control and the delta between the strongest and weakest cooldowns is gonna get even higher with support specs being added.
Let's wait and see what Rextroy will come up with Augmentation!
I guess this is one way of getting around the flak PI has been getting ever since it's inception, just make PI look smalltime by designing this @#$%show of a spec.
They'll probably just make it not stack, or make only the highest buff from each count. One avoker per 4 other DPS was the clear design cap
If you were to cap the stacks, how would 2 augvokers in dungeons/m+ work then? They said they still want that to be a viable option, especially in like heroic dungeon queues.
Fixxing this will be an annoying as hell thing, one way or another something hast to change.Instead of limiting the benefits/person a first step would be to limit the multiplicative nature. For example:An Evoker Buffing others should not contain the buffed int from other evokers.Fatal Mirror shouldnt invole Fatal Mirror Damage. But yeah this would only limit the issue not remove it entirely, but at least it wouldnt limit the amount of Augs/Raid
