Bravo blizzard, something nobody asked for because you know better. It's worked out really well for lost ark, this is just the change needed to invigorate the shrinking raid community. /S
As long as they make those things stand out so we know what they are, I see no issue with this. I love them limiting addons by implementing it themselves or making an alternative
I literally saw an article of this somewhere..and came here to read the comments. For sure I don't regret not going to sleep earlier. Literally no FWR raider here, all the wanna be CE raiders who probably clear it after 2-3 months (when all the guides, all the videos are already out there) come and say that it's hard. I don't raid more than hc for now (and that for trinkets usually), but I recall back in the days of CN, there were some WAs that were literally done for people who don't have a pair of braincells (the one for dance, the one telling you if you are close enough with your pair at sludgefist, and the list can go on forever). Wondering how many of these so called CE raiders from here would've complained if those were private auras. Imagine their surprise when they would've had to follow the adds with their own eyes at Dance Macabre. And for those stating that hc raid and mythic+ need auras..just get good..for real. I disabled even DBM in this raid, and it went so damn smooth. As for m+, you can literally play with no weak aura. I am doing that and went to 25s and 26s with no issues at all (and guess what, a +25 is like a +2, but you have to actually use defensive, have better gear, better damage, well..play better..but there are the same damn mechanics). So what's the problem? Less people will have CE? Well..probably those who didn't deserve it won't have it anymore anyway. As for your own cds, and so..those should totally be private auras, so no WA can be done to track them(I'm not talking about passives like the 20 stacks of hamony, that had just the small icon in the corner..but talking about 2 min cs, where WA exist to tell to you : hey, it's of cd, press it).
