You can only loot the scales after you have completed http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=5529, and is begun by the scale which drops off of plagued hatchlings.

Also worth noting is that you can have more then 1 scale in you inventory or bank at a time, so you can save a few to speed up the revered -> exalted grind.

Got to keep in mind that it doesn't stack, and from past experience one drops per scholo run on average. Anything more than a few will take up a fair bit of space

i ran a scholo run. before 2.0.1 (not sure if its still this way but anyways) me and another got 6 of these EACH. it was amazing

just wondering, stormeh. but when did you run scholo last?

Since patch 2.3, the reputation gain from completing this quest has increased to 150 reputation with the Argent Dawn.

If you are at max level and 999/1000 exalted reputation with the Argent Dawn, you get zero reward from this quest.

Be advised you can pick up as many of those dragon scales that start the quest ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13920 ) as you want and you accept the quest turn it in and accept it again and turn it in again each time giving you rep for the turn ins. It is repeatable, but only when you have the healthy dragon scales to turn in.

Did this a couple times and Wowhead profiler doesn't count it as a completed quest for my profile since its repeatable.

Got this item in the old version of Scholomance on retail. Takes up bag space and cannot hand in so safe to delete
