Immortal Technique (2-piece bonus) - Shadowstrike has a 15% chance to grant Shadow Blades for 5 seconds (was 20%). This nerf is quite small, as Subtletly Rogues do not rely heavily on Shadow Blades uptime or the damage bonus it brings.

Immortal Technique (4-piece bonus) - Your finishing moves have a 3% chance per combo point spent to cast Shadowstrike at up to 5 nearby targets (was 4%). This set bonus is already quite weak on its own, with Subtlety Rogue's main focus being on single target damage, rather than any AoE. The nerf does not do much, if anything, to harm Subtlety Rogue's damage.

Cloaked in Shadows (Soulbind Conduit) absorb value now reduced by 33% in PvP combat.The best to worst covenants remain the same; Kyrian > Venthyr > Night Fae > Necrolord.Guide OverviewTalents & RacialsRotations & StrategyGearCovenantsMacros & Addons

Mark of the Master Assassin (Runecarving Power) duration has been reduced by 40% in PvP combat. This is by far the biggest nerf to Subtlety coming into Patch 9.1.

Dismantle (PvP Talent) is now available to all specializations (was Outlaw only). This is a very nice option to spec into vs melee teams but is usually outshined by offensive PvP talents like Shadowy Duel, Smoke Bomb and Thick as Thieves.

Cold Blood (PvP Talent) has been removed. This has functionally been replaced by Thick as Thieves.

Thick as Thieves (PvP Talent) is now available to all specializations (was Outlaw only) and now increases the targets damage by 15% (was 10%), but no longer increases the Rogue's damage (was 10%). This is a strong damage buff to a teammate which we now take instead of Cold Blood.

Maneuverability (PvP Talent) now removes all roots when activated in addition to its current effect. This is a huge quality of life buff and will be a strong choice when facing Mages, Druids, Hunters and possibly even Warlocks.

Honor Among Thieves (PvP Talent) has been removed. This PvP talent was never useful compared to other talents.

New PvP Talent: Distracting Mirage – Distract slows affected enemies by 30% and creates a Mirage that follows an enemy for 8 seconds. Reactivate Distract to teleport to your Mirage's location. This only works against enemies who are out of combat, so it isn't usually useful.

Thief's Bargain (PvP Talent) has been redesigned – Shadow Blades, Vanish, and Feint have 33% reduced cooldowns, but you deal 10% less damage for 6 seconds after using each ability. This is outshined by Shadowy Duel, Smoke Bomb, and Thick as Thieves.

Shadowy Duel (PvP Talent) duration reduced to 5 seconds (was 6 seconds). This is a significant nerf, but remains a strong choice.

Silhouette (PvP Talent) cooldown reduction for Shadowstep increased to 67% (was 50%). This is not impactful enough to take over Smoke Bomb, Shadowy Duel, or Thick as Thieves.

Smoke Bomb (PvP Talent) cooldown reduced to 2 minutes (was 3 minutes) for Subtlety Rogues only. This is a decent buff to Smoke Bomb.

Feint duration increased to 6 seconds (was 5 seconds). This is a small buff which doesn't have any implications in terms of changing gameplay, but it's nice to have.

Serrated Bone Spike (Necrolord) bleed now properly benefits from Critical Strike chance. Necrolord is still extremely lackluster for Subtlety so this isn't impactful.

Fixed an issue that prevented Serrated Bone Spike (Necrolord Ability) from benefitting from Shadow Blades. As previously mentioned, necrolord is still extremely lackluster for Subtlety so this isn't impactful.

The shield from Cloaked in Shadows (Conduit) is now 50% larger, lasts for 4 seconds (previously had no duration) and no longer decays while the Rogue is out of stealth. This is a significant nerf as it means if you have a DoT effect on you while in stealth, you'll be taken out of stealth after 4 seconds.

Shiv now dispels Enrage effects regardless of Poison application. Casting Shiv with Numbing Poison decreases the casting and attack speed of the target by 25% for 5 seconds. Enrage effects and Numbing Poison are not particularly impactful in PvP as it's generally mandatory to use Crippling Poison.

Shuriken Storm (Rank 2) now also increases Shuriken Storm's chance to critically strike by 15%. Shuriken Storm has no significant use case in PvP other than for generating combo points.

Black Powder's damage per combo point increased by 33%. Black Powder isn't used in PvP.

Black Powder (Rank 2) now causes targets with Find Weakness to suffer an additional 40% damage as Shadow (was 50%). Black Powder isn't used in PvP.

Shadow Techniques now triggers more frequently. This is a small and hardly noticeable buff to energy and combo point generation.

Backstab/Gloomblade damage increased by 20%. Backstab and Gloomblade are significantly outshined by Shadowstrike so this isn't impactful.

Question:

Why would you like to open with Marcado para morir + Golpe en los riñones instead of the Golpe bajo opener?

I guess its because of the Energy Cost for both Spells. Golpe en los riñones is 15 Energy cheaper. An exception to this seems to be when specced into Disparo en la oscuridad

Awesome guide! Super helpful, really appreciate all the work. I wonder what you think about sub rogue in shadowlands pvp so far in regards of covenant abilities, legendaries, covenants etc. since its so close?
