Why Should I Participate in the Storm's Fury Event?

The event serves as a good gear complement for alts, offering ilvl389 rings, necklace and trinket.

For collectors and completionists, there are achievements, a Toy (Tormenta acechadora), a Battle Pet (Potrillo vorquin perdido en el tiempo) and a Mount Zancacuernos dermacielo.

Killing mobs during the Storm's Fury event has a chance to drop Restos de tormenta fusionados, a quest that grants 10 Esencia de la tormenta. This is likely a weekly quest.

Killing the final boss of the Storm Fury's event drops ~6 Esencia de la tormenta, ~130 Derrame elemental and a chance at dropping Primalist gear. It is currently unknown if this reward is repeatable for every Storm's Fury event, or if the drops are reduced when killing Storm's Fury bosses more than once per week.

Completing the World Quest for the Storm's Fury event awards Alijo primalista radiante, which contains ~9 Esencia de la tormenta, ~2 Sigilo de tormenta, gold, Dragon Isles Supplies and a chance at dropping Primalist gear. After completing it once, you'll receive a blue cache for every Storm's Fury event.

El futuro que construimos - Kill the 3 Storm's Fury final bosses: Glakis, Cólera del invierno, Nimbulatus, Cólera de la tormenta and Sísmidor, Cólera de la tierra.

Temperatura asesina - Kill any of the final bosses in the Storm's Fury event while maintaining at least 15 stacks of Calor.

Edit: taking an elemental boss to 50% will begin stage 2 of the fight and remove the world quest icon from the map. kill the remaining (smaller) elementals in the boss area to complete the fight and receive your loot.

What an obnoxious event.

It phases out the Trial of the Elements, so can't be done as long as the event is up.

The portals will come back eventually if they aren't finished.

You can be in the middle of the event and be phased completely out of it.

These portals take way too long to close. The boss is ridiculous for a PuG world boss, and its basically impossible for a caster to actually DPS during the frost aoe spam.

From what I can tell thus far - My hunter did it about 30 minutes ago when there was 3 hours left but now my rogue shows nothing being up on the map despite it being unlocked. So my presumption then is that this is a one time per 5 hours per account?

So yesterday when this was showing got it done np :), after the event was done it immediately showed the cache in blue and said 3 hours remaining, I ignored it:). Today however was a very diff story. Got in a group went there we got the portals closed, we were killing "main" boss, about half way through when the 4 lesser elementals spawn the entire thing just disappeared for EVERYONE that was there, oh the chaos and the whining was off da chain. So obviously it is bugged but who knows what will happen when it come up again, I will update ^_^

Hi all

On This Event The Storm's Fury You need to Close down 4 portals ( marked on map ) by defending them then You need to kill final Boss. You still need to defend portal after close, the enemy can take it back.
Event The Storm's Fury from my observation is repeat every 5 H, Event is up for 4H ( but a lot of players are doing it and can finish after 30 min then You need to be fast ) then break 1H, Bosses rotations from what i had was Earth -> Storm -> Winter

During Event You will be able to collect maximum 25 of Esencia de la tormenta in first run, then maximum from 2nd and next Event You will get only 9 Esencia de la tormenta:

- Killing Rare mob Camorrista garfaescarcha, Alaesquirla, Avalantus, Controlador de heladas or Moldeapiedras jurarriscos You can loot Restos de tormenta fusionados to get Quest Restos de tormenta fusionados that will Give You 10 Esencia de la tormenta. Had this only once maby is repeat one time in a week but don't know.
- Killing final boss will give You 6 Esencia de la tormenta.
- Finishing 1st Event in same week Will give You Alijo primalista radiante - Inside will find 9 Esencia de la tormenta. Finishing 2nd and next i think Event in same week Will give You Alijo primalista - 3 Esencia de la tormenta
- You can go Quests from Zawarudu From Valdrakken City Peligro de tormenta You need to teleport to Primalist Future and speak with Soridormi to get next Quest Resistir la tormenta reward from this quest is Fuente de calor de campo that can help You with Achievement Temperatura asesina then you will no need to buy Calor de invierno primigenio. As well You can buy Fuente de calor de campo from Tarnormu ( He is on platform standing next to Brendormi ) but visable only during event.

Esencia de la tormenta You can use to buy items From Brendormi /way 61.36 46.90, on top of platform in Primalist Future not far from portal.

During The Storm's Fury Event You will be able to do 2 Achievements El futuro que construimos and Temperatura asesina

El futuro que construimos - Kill last 3 bosses on event: Glakis, Cólera del invierno, Nimbulatus, Cólera de la tormenta and Modor ( every event will have deferent boss to slay ). Bosses have a lot of Hp O_o. Bosses rotations from what i had was Earth -> Storm -> Winter and event is up every 5H.

Temperatura asesina - Best way to do it is When You teleport to Primalist Future Stay on platform and You will get stacks of Calor waith until 25 stacks. When You get 25 You need to kill last boss any from achi El futuro que construimos with minimum 15 stacks, Just in case You can buy/get from quest Fuente de calor de campo or buy Calor de invierno primigenio If During fight You will get under 15 use it to get stack back. Best way is to go kill boss when He is on low HP.

Note that Resistir la tormenta cannot be completed in a raid (I learned the hard way). I know many quests are like that, but I have a hard time seeing how a 5 man group could do this event alone.

This is very preliminary but from what I have been able to work out on live the event operates on a 4hrs on/6hrs off cycle.

When the event is on (indicated by a World Quest marker on the main map) - zoning into the area will cause you to be phased into an instanced event which has just started (IE all portals are uncaptured and the boss is up), with plenty of other players. Once the event is completed - re-entering the area in the same cycle will put you back into the same instance with the event remaining in it's completed state. You can redo the even once per 4/6 hr cycle.

My 1st attempt of the week earned me 25 Essense of the storm subsequent attempts have earned me 9. I'd hazard a guess that the 1st attempt of each weekly reset will earn the 25.

NOTE: The world quest appears to be a little buggy. When I logged in today the quest was visible on the map with 3 hrs to go, only for it to disappear before I arrived and the event was not active when I zoned into the area.

Honestly this event is complete dog****. I did this on 12 of my characters (12 epic chests) and i didn't get a single item from it. Thanks again for another system disrespecting all my time and effort.

The Rare Spawn design and rewards in this event are bad. If rares aren't up, theres no point in participating except for tagging the boss at low health.

- theres no reward for disabling a portal
- theres no reward for killing the NPCs when disabling a portal
- sometimes you dont even get overflow from the last boss
Edit: The rares can spawn when the even IS NOT active, BUT, they do not drop any overflow, so once again theres no point

So the most sensible thing to do is to afk

So during pre-patch we spam killed elites for a currency. That's fine, it was pre-patch. Then when I leveled to 70, I spam killed elites in Cobalt Assembly for some xmog and a ring. Then I wanted the black drake skins, so I... Spammed killed elites in Obsidian Citadel for rep. Then the season started and I went to all 4 zones 4 times each for the elemental storms event so that I could... Spam kill elites for a currency and some achievements that gave no reward besides the achievements themselves.

And now 10.0.5 comes around and the new event is... Go to the primalist future and... Spam kill elites for a currency. Not to mention that I'm pretty sure the event has phased out of existence halfway through the last boss more times than I've actually been able to complete the event. Sorry, but this event is godawful and even if it wasn't constantly bugging out, it would be boring as hell (Sit on 4 points until captured while spam killing elites and then kill a boss, repeat 40+ times for enough currency to get your desired rewards).

I just feel pretty bummed about the world content of Dragonflight. It's hilarious how many people say "Shadowlands bad", because I'd kill to get the world content of Shadowlands back into the game. Callings with an incentive to do world quests, paragon caches that were worth grinding rep for, tons of xmog, mounts and pet rares to farm daily, actual interesting meta achievements that gave cool rewards like mounts. Shadowlands was awful systems-wise, but it nailed the world content side of things.

Edit: and now with the announcement of 10.1 they're adding "Fyrakk assaults" which appear to be... Going to zones to spam kill elites for a currency. sigh

For now the elemental overflow currency dropped from boss is only 68 (compared to 75 for the weekly requirements)
Sometimes the boss doesn't drop at all.

This is impossible to solo, so I created a community in game where people can group up and also do server jumps. Community code is jnjGqWBSmra for EU, and even though it's shown as Alliance, it's cross-faction.

Even in 10.2.6, this event is still trolling us all! Farming the Cofre de los elementos for Boceto: Anillo de reloj de arena around this event was bad enough, but now it is hindering achievement progress for Cacería de tormentas by deactivating the storm when it pops up too.

In season 4, "Seismodor, Earth's Wrath" is bugged and not count into the achievement if you kill it too fast before it enters its phase. Hard not to do so since all with high item level and you cannot tell people to stop DPS, some of them don't read chat and from the opposite faction.
Another poor design by Blizzard unfortunately.

Went back with an 80 the week after TWWI launched to farm Essences for the mount but now there's no progress bar at the portals?
Did Blizz disable this just out of spite?

This event is completely broken in the new expansion. Three out of the four portals had no progress bars and/or no mobs attacking. I did find one that had a progress bar, but it was so damn slow that I stood there for ten minutes and it barely moved two ticks. I flew to another one to see if it was the same, but it did not have a progress bar. There were no mobs attacking it either. I flew to a third and had three rounds of mobs, but no progress bar again.

So, if you're like me and you missed this event when it first came out and no one was doing it the month after it was released up until now, you're screwed from all the rewards because blizz is too incompetent to make things work and give everyone the ability to catch up.

Maybe they'll release a "key" in the game store to "unlock" this event.

There is SO many events that blizzards done and left in a dust that cannot be made today. God. They are speaking of giving people "solo" adventures only to get stupid ass things like secret which can be done only by three people or events that cannot be completed without a group. It is much more frustrating than being unable to find proper M+ or a heroic raid. Because item levels are temporal but old events that you weren't presented at the moment which require party are forever there without a reach cause no people want to do them.

All the way up to Midnight and this event still can't be solo'd, or even two-manned (me and another fella tried earlier today, but the *second* you aren't on a portal for about 5 seconds it goes back up to full power with *one* NPC getting too close).

Absolutely infuriating, given the major DF achieves that require you to have beaten the event with *three different bosses*. So even if you luck into a group once, doesn't mean you'll have them for the next one.
